BenQ America
BenQ America Corp. has announced updates to its award-winning W1070 projector. The all-new, value-oriented HT1070 Colorific projector transforms the entertainment experience with full HD picture quality, brilliant color performance, shorter throw capabilities and robust connectivity options. With specialized sports video and sound modes, the HT1070 is just the ticket for enjoying every game on the big screen, right at home.

"BenQ is built on a promise of delivering innovation and value," said J.Y. Hu, vice president, business line management at BenQ America Corp. "With the HT1070, we've taken our most popular projector and made it even better. It's packed with all of the advanced features to provide that larger-than-life experience that fits today's entertainment needs."

The full HD 1080p home theater projector features a six-segment color wheel (RGBRGB) with six times the speed to produce incredibly realistic color depth and range, with BrilliantColor technology further boosting every detail to achieve a truly immersive entertainment experience--all at an incredibly low price of $699. Boasting accurate, crisp and long-lasting color that's the hallmark of BenQ's award-winning Colorific technology, the HT1070 offers 2,000 lumens of brightness and a shorter throw performance that allows big screen enjoyment up to 100 inches at just eight feet away from the screen.

Enhanced features include a dedicated sports video mode, which blends precision color tuning with digital enhancements for ultra-realistic skin tones and stunning color vibrancy--putting viewers right inside the action. Adding CinemaMaster Audio, the HT1070 provides immersive 10-watt stereo performance with a sports sound mode that enables intelligible audio clarity.

The HT1070 is ready to deliver an enjoyable sports-watching and entertainment experience right out of the box. It packs a rich set of connectivity options, including dual HDMI inputs, with one doubling as a MHL port, that grant users the capability to stream videos, games or photos on the big screen from their mobile devices. In addition, the HT1070 is ISFccc-certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), enabling viewers to enjoy two perfectly calibrated and optimized modes--ISF Day and ISF Night--that further customize and enhance the viewing experience.

The HT1070 also features BenQ's industry-leading energy-savings SmartEco technology, which provides longer lamp life. Through the "SmartEco" mode, the projector automatically adjusts lamp power to use as little light as necessary to deliver the best contrast and brightness performance while maximizing power savings. To further reduce power consumption, a "no source detected" mode automatically lowers brightness to 30 percent when no display has been detected for more than three minutes. In the "Eco Blank" mode, the projectors are capable of power savings up to 70 percent. In addition, there are no filters to clean or replace, further enhancing energy efficiency.

The BenQ HT1070 projector is available now just in time for the holidays at a retail price of $699 at the following retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Fry's, Newegg, Visual Apex, and more. An optional full HD wireless kit (WDP01) is also available.
