Clayton Audio is a St. Louis based company that specializes in Class A amplifiers. Created by a retired IBM engineer, Clayton Audio amps use Motorola bipolar transistor semiconductors. Clayton Audio claims to conservatively rate their speakers, and say they will double their power output into 4 ohms, and continue to increase output down to 1 ohm.
