And you thought Bill James got fancy with his Sabremetric scientific look at the game of baseball? Digital Projection, a company making a move in the home theater space but best known for their beyond 1080p professional projectors, has gone public with their calculator so that you can weight a whole host of cost factors into owning a front video projector.

Digital Projection offers a link from their site that allows you to download an Excel sheet.

The number of factors considered are many and consumers might look at their projection investment differently after getting into a study on value. HomeTheaterReview.com warns that the ultimate factor is the way a projector looks to your eyes. The math matters too, but trust your eyes the most.
