The reason for this is that the company believes they have found ways to overcome the sonic flaws they believe are inherent in the square and rectangular designs.
This new line of products has been named the Classico series and the first models will start at $695 per pair.
Gallo is bringing multiple design strategies to these new products, including the use of S2 filling from the company's spherical designs. The hope is that the use of this filling will help eliminate standing waves, problems caused by parallel walls, and fix the Helmholtz resonance.
Gallo has been referring to the design of the Classico line as "Un-Box" with the hope of letting consumers know that these speakers won't sound like the typical box-style speakers.
