Genelec's New RAM4 and RAM5 Rack Mount Amps

Genelec-RAM5.gifGenelec Inc. offers home theater and custom installers two new rack-mountable amplifier units, specifically designed to be used with corresponding Genelec products from the Custom Installation line. The new RAM4 tri-amplifier provides 180 watts to the woofer, 120 watts to the mid-range, and 120 watts to the tweeter. RAM4 amps and speaker enclosures are part of the integrated system of the AOW312B Active On-Wall Loudspeaker and HT312B Active Speaker Systems. The tri-amp RAM5 provides 400 watts to the woofers, 120 watts to the mid-range, and 120 watts to the tweeter and likewise is part of the integrated system design of the HT315B and HT320BC Active Speaker System models.

These new 19" 3U amplifier units take less than half of the rack space needed before, and their design enables easier and faster installations. Each amplifier is factory calibrated to the individual loudspeaker with which they are shipped.

This amplifier update maintains the same consistent performance of the mentioned loudspeaker models as predecessor amplifier units. Also, the loudspeaker cabinet dimensions remain the same. However, the model number of the loudspeakers changes from 'A' to 'B' models.

The new Genelec RAM4 and RAM5 amplifiers are now shipping in their respective speaker system packages.
