The H8 Series includes 55- and 50-inch models that use full-array LED backlighting with local dimming and support HDR playback. The 55H8C carries an MSRP of $699.99, while the 50H8C is priced at $599.99. Hisense has also introduced a number of lower-priced 1080p TVs; details are provided in the press release below.

From Hisense
Hisense has announced the nationwide availability of its award-winning H8 Series, first showcased at the 2016 International CES. The H8 Series makes HDR Processing, which assures the television is capable of displaying any subsequent HDR content providers may create, available to consumers at an incredible value. Hisense also shared pricing and availability details around its H5 Smart TV series and H3 FHD Feature TV series, which feature Hisense's Smart TV platform with a new user interface for 2016. The enhanced H4 series equipped with the Roku platform will now offer four popular screen sizes.

Hisense H8: HDR Performance for Everyone
HDR processing uses proprietary algorithms to remap luminance and color information to the capabilities of the display, producing a picture with increased color accuracy and realism. The Hisense H8 Series, available in 50- and 55-inch screen sizes, is able to accept HDR content and render enhanced dynamic range in 1.07 billion colors. The H8 Series will play back movies and content delivered in the HDR10 format via USB or HDMI 2.0.

The H8 series features multi-zone Full Array Local Dimming for enhanced contrast, allowing increased brightness and more pronounced black and white levels. The series also uses proprietary motion estimation and compensation (MEMC) algorithms, called UltraSmooth Motion to create and insert frames into the picture, enabling smoother transitions for the viewer. In addition, UltraSmooth Motion incorporates backlight control technology, for smoother fast action images.

Access to the best apps and seamless connectivity are made possible with Hisense's proprietary smart platform with a new user interface for 2016. The intuitive user interface was developed exclusively for the U.S. market in Hisense's R&D lab in Atlanta, GA, and features built-in Wi-Fi and HDMI 2.0a, for 4K UHD from streaming sources such as Netflix, Amazon and YouTube.

This series, along with all 2016 Hisense 4K models, comes with an industry leading 4-year customer warranty.

Full HD at Groundbreaking Prices
All models in the H5 series also feature Hisense's Smart TV platform, which allows streamlined retrieval and viewing of content coupled with crisp Full HD picture quality. The H5 series is available in 32", 40", 43", 50" and 55" class screen sizes.

This year Hisense is expanding and elevating its popular line-up of Hisense Roku TV models; the TVs will now be available in 32" and 50" screen sizes, in addition to 40" and 48". The Hisense Roku TVs are powered by Roku OS and feature a customized home screen, 3,000+ streaming channels and powerful search, Roku Search and Roku Feed. Consumers can also use the Roku Mobile App for iOS and Android to view personal video, photos or audio on their Hisense Roku TV using the Play on Roku feature, as well as check for their favorite shows and movies using Voice Search.

The updated Hisense H3 series includes digital LED technology, for bright and true-to-life images with ultra dynamic contrast for a noticeable contrast ratio. The TVs come in sizes ranging from 32" to 49".

The Hisense H8, H5, H4 and H3 series are now shipping to retailers nationwide.
