In July, Hulu launched the Hulu Plus subscription to a somewhat tepid response. The price of $9.99 per month was overpriced for what was being offered. The service gained value when Hulu Plus expanded to the iPhone and iPad but $9.99 still seemed over priced to many. The grumblings of price have not gone unheard by Hulu and the company recently responded in a rather impressive way.

First, the monthly price has been cut to $7.99 per month. Current subscribers will not be left in the cold on this price drop. They will receive credit for the difference between the two prices and the credit will be applied to the next billing cycle.

Hulu Plus has also expanded onto the Roku boxes and PlayStation 3 consoles with plans to be available on internet-connected Vizio, LG, and Panasonic Blu-ray players and HDTVs in the future. Also planned as future targeted devices are TiVo Premiere DVRS, the Xbox 360, and Western Digital's WD TV Live Hub media center and WD TV Live Plus network media player.

Hulu Plus will now offer every episode of new shows from ABC, FOX, and NBC.
