Joe Cali is likely best known for his supporting role in the 1978 film Saturday Night Fever however he is one of the most prolific high end audio video salespeople in the industry's history.
Cali once worked at the legendary Christopher Hansen Ltd. and in between casting calls sold more ultra-high-end audiophile gear than nearly anyone ever.
Cali left Hansen to start a Cello showroom with Mark Levinson. That project ultimately was sold and consolidated and Cali today has his own design and installation firm. Cali's clients are an absolute who's who of entertainment industry power player. Studio heads, actors, producers and beyond.

Hey Joe. This might be the second time you get this message because I noticed I didn't answer the 4 + 4 = 8 question before I sent the message. So, to repeat everything, you were a good friend back in the late 1980's in Hollywood. I'm kind of goofing around here at work and just Googled up your name on a whim. And it looks like you've become quite the success. I'm happy for you. I'm long out of the pharmaceutical gig. I went back to school and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I'm married (second time) to a good woman and am the stepfather of two sons. Like I said in the first message, I always make my family watch Saturday Night Fever and point you out whenever we stumble across it from time to time. I remember when you first started out on your own in that house above the Sunset Strip. You had just moved your business in. Oh yeah, I read about Michael Nadar in the paper years ago. Sad. I've been done with the A.A. thing for years. Just pretty much grew up and out of it all.
Like I said, you were a good friend during an interesting time. You always wonder what happens to people you lose touch with. Good to see you're doing well.
Take care U.
(Sorry if you got this message twice).
Mark
Like I said,
Hey everyone! Boy do I feel stupid. I thought I was sending out an E-Mail to an old buddy and it ended up here publicly. Delete it if you can moderators. But I can vouch for Joe Cali, at least at around 20 years ago. He's the best.
Too funny.
