From Marantz
Marantz rounds off its 2015 standard full-size home theater line-up with the renewed AV7702mkII A/V Network Pre/processor. Built on last year's AV7702, the new AV7702mkII (mark 2) model offers the latest in audio and video standards. It continues to offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Dolby Atmos, while adding the latest HDMI version 2.0a compatibility with High Dynamic Range (HDR), BT.2020 pass-through support, along with HDCP 2.2 compatibility on all HDMI inputs and outputs. The AV7702mkII is ready for the next generation of Blu-ray disc players, set-top boxes and other 4K Ultra HD sources. The new product is expected to be available in October.

As with the AV7702, the AV7702mkII can also be upgraded to support Auro-3D and the Auromatic upmixer up to 10.1 channels. Furthermore, it adds DTS:X object-based 3D surround format (available via future firmware update) to complete today's available 3D sound options. Pairing the AV7702mkII with a Marantz MM Power Amplifier further delivers unprecedented levels of musicality and performance, with advanced system-building flexibility for custom integrators.

AV7702mkII: Multi-channel A/V Pre-amplifier ($2,199)
The AV7702mkII is ideal for those seeking flexibility and the most advanced feature set. The audio section allows for the passing of the signal to either the 11.2ch XLS or 13.2ch RCA pre-outs, and to an external power amplifier for superior audio excellence. It offers an even higher quality dedicated pre-amplifier board with HDAM and a power supply for the pre-amplifier stage. It comes equipped with audiophile-grade ELNA capacitors to give special treatment to high-resolution audio reproduction. The extended shielding for each preamplifier section minimizes interference and gives the last finishing touch for the ultimate in surround and stereo sound quality.

To enhance the performance of the AV7702mkII, it is optimal to match it up with a Marantz MM series power amplifier. Designed for the ultimate music and movie surround sound experience and extreme flexibility, Marantz offers three MM series models. The lineup begins with Marantz's highest-grade power amplifier, the seven-channel MM8077, followed by the MM7055 five-channel power amplifier and the MM7025 two-channel power amplifier.
