NHT

NHT was founded in 1986. Now Hear This played a big role in the proliferation of affordable high end loudspeaker products in the mid to late 1990s. Featuring a unique 21 degree baffle, the company's debut Model 1 made quite splash, but the company really hit it big in the mid 1990s with its diminutive Super Zero bookshelf monitor and powerful Model 3.3 Loudspeaker, featuring what was to become a common design feature in the future: a powered, side-firing subwoofer.

In early 2009 NHT "went dark" and then re-launched as an Internet-direct e-seller. New and redux designs shortly followed. The Absolute Zero mini-monitor is an update of one of their classic designs. The Absolute Tower is a tower version of the Zero.
HomeTheaterReview.com has articles about NHT's death and also about NHT's rebirth.
Similar brands include Axiom, Aperion Audio, Orb, and Polk.
