062810.OmniMount_Logo.gifOmniMount, a provider of A/V mounts and furniture for residential home entertainment and commercial applications, has added to its line of customizable A/V rack solutions. OmniMount's brand new RE18 and RE27 are the most recent additions to its growing portfolio of rack systems -- fully assembled rack systems shipped with cooling fans for equipment ventilation already pre-installed.

The RE 18 and RE27 are designed for audio/video installers on the go. The rack systems ship completely assembled, with pre-configured rack shelving that accommodates a range of audio and video products. These racks also feature a fully installed cooling system with top and bottom ventilation and pre-installed top cooling fans.

"These new racks are designed in response to feedback from custom installation professionals that use racks to organize audio/video components on the job every day," said Hal Truax, director of the commercial division for OmniMount. "Most competitive rack systems take several hours to piece together properly, costing both the installer and consumer valuable time and money that could be saved with these new products."

The RE27 is a full rack made from heavy-gauge welded steel, features a standard 19-inch rack enclosure with lockable tempered-glass left- or right-hinged front door and side panels that keep components encased. A smaller half-rack, the RE18, offers installers a smaller version with the same features -- and both are designed with a caster base for movement and adjustable feet to level and stabilize the rack.

The RE27 is a 27 space rack featuring five 2U space shelves with 50 pounds (22.7 kg) maximum weight capacity per shelf and five 2U space solid blanks. The more compact RE18 is an 18 space rack featuring three 2U space shelves with 50 pounds (22.7 kg) maximum weight capacity per shelf and three 2U space solid blanks. Both racks can handle weight capacities of 750 pounds (340.2 kg) for the RE27 and 500 pounds (226.8 kg) for the RE18. Designed and engineered in the USA, the RE27 and RE18, as well as the entire line of A/V racks solutions, is currently available and shipping.
