Rega
Founded in 1973 by Tony Relph and Roy Gandy, Rega (named from the first two letters of each founder's last name) introduced the Planar 3 turntable in 1977, one of the most popular budget turntables ever. Rega also produced a series of other popular turntables, tonearms, and cartridges. In the British tradition of a system-oriented approach, Rega also introduced a series of amplifiers and loudspeakers, and, in the early 1990s, a successful CD player called the Planet.
Popular Rega products include the Planar 3 Turntable, Planet CD Player, and RB300 Tonearm.
