Founded by Richard Lord, REL Acoustics is a British designer and manufacturer of ultra high-end "sub-bass" subwoofer systems.  The company's products have acquired an almost cult-like status, and are widely acclaimed for their state-of-the-art performance.  The company owns a cabinetmaking company called Oakwood that also designs for other manufacturers.
