According to a message from Kaleidescape's founder/CEO Michael Malcolm to the company's dealers via email, the company has apparently won the stay that they were seeking in the case with the DVD CCA from appellate court.

What this means for now is that the legal battle will go on. However, more importantly, Kaleidescape dealers can keep selling units and all Kaleidescape users can keep using their media servers.

Some in the legal world think the appeal process could take a year or longer. This decision seems to - for now (and likely for the appeal) - keep Kaleidescape rolling forward as a business while it fights its legal battles.
