SENSIO Technologies Inc. announced recently that they have been selected by VIZIO to incorporate SENSIO's decoder, the S3D Core, into its new line of Full HD3D TVs.
SENSIO is pleased to work with such a major manufacturer of televisions. VIZIO has a far-reaching distribution channel and plans to deliver a significant number of Full HD3D TVs into the market beginning in the second half of 2010.
"This announcement heralds the delivery of affordable Full HD3D TVs into the market and represents yet another major milestone for SENSIO. Working closely with VIZIO, 2010 will see the creation of a substantial install-base of consumers ready to watch 3D movies, live concerts, and sporting events from the comfort of their home," states Nicholas Routhier, President and Chief Executive Officer at SENSIO.
"The conclusion of this significant agreement with a Tier One television manufacturer illustrates that our technology answers the needs of manufacturers and adds value to their product. It confirms our licensing business model," adds Nicholas Routhier.
"As studios and publishers begin to expand the availability of their content in 3D, we felt the time was right to incorporate 3D technology into our HDTVs for 2010," said Matthew McRae, VP of Products at VIZIO. "Of all the 3D technologies currently available on the market, only SENSIO's met our exacting needs for a format that delivers true 1080p HD picture quality to compliment our high performance line of HDTVs. SENSIO® 3D's performance, and the IP portfolio that supports it, is truly impressive, and we are pleased to collaborate with an experienced team that made the integration process simple."
