VIZIO revealed details about seven new EcoHD™ LCD HDTVs that meet or exceed all of the Energy Star 3.0 requirements.
Currently, all VIZIO LCD HDTVs meet Energy Star 3.0 requirements for lower energy consumption. These seven new EcoHD™ models, however, exceed those standards by as much as 25 percent, which is good news for both the environment and value-conscious consumers. The amount of energy consumption depends on the size of the TV. For instance, 22-inch and 19-inch-class EcoHD™ TVs use less energy than a conventional 60watt light bulb.
VIZIO consumers will save energy while enjoying high performance with support for 720p and 1080i signals, SRS TruSurround XT audio enhancement, and multiple HDMI Inputs -- all wrapped in a stylish white or black piano colored bezel for the design savvy consumer.
In addition, all VIZIO's LCD HDTVs are RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. The RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products.
"Saving energy is not only cool, its economical," says Laynie Newsome, VIZIO VP Sales and Marketing Communications. "All our new EcoHD™ TVs are valued priced, making it easy for consumers to make environmentally conscious choices."
All the EcoHD™ models incorporate SRS Lab's advanced audio technologies to improve performance from the built-in speakers. All the 19" to 26" models use SRS TruSurround XT®, while the two 32" models use the more advanced TruSurround HD®. With TruSurround XT you can enjoy an enveloping surround sound experience complete with clear dialog and powerful bass. SRS TruSurround HD™ provides a suite of processes to further optimize low frequency performance and ensure crisp and intelligible dialog.
The 32" VA320E and V0320E also feature VIZIO's Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio™, delivering a contrast ratio that rivals the performance of the best plasma displays.
