Yamaha has also added an entry-level AVENTAGE model, the RX-A550, priced at $549.95.

From Yamaha
Yamaha has expanded its latest series of premium AVENTAGE network AV receivers to deliver new levels of clarity, detail and depth that heighten music and movie watching experiences.

Each of the six new models embodies the obsessive attention to detail that delivers peak performance with an in-depth approach to design that has earned AVENTAGE AV receivers widespread accolades from AV professionals since the company first introduced the series in 2010.

Three of the models--the flagship 9.2-channel RX-A3050 and RX-A2050, as well as the 7.2-channel RX-A1050--are designed to support the latest object-based audio technology: Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. These revolutionary object-based audio mixing technologies now eliminate the limitation of channel-based audio mixing to deliver more captivating sound that places and moves specific sounds anywhere in the room, including overhead.

Rounding out the new AVENTAGE series are the 7.2-channel RX-A850, which also supports Dolby Atmos; the RX-A750; and the newest member of the family, the 5.1-channel RX-A550, which introduces a new price point to the series while offering the AVENTAGE peak performance and build quality for which the series is known.

For the first time, all AVENTAGE AV receiver models offer full 4K Ultra HD video playback with HDCP 2.2 for UHD enjoyment without limitations. The RX-A750 and greater models will support high dynamic range (HDR) video as part of the HDMI 2.0a specification via a firmware update.

Each of the new AVENTAGE models are equipped with Bluetooth for effortless music streaming from smartphones and other devices. To improve music playback, all units come with an optimized version of Yamaha's exclusive Compressed Music Enhancer that effectively reproduces vivid and lively sound from Bluetooth transmitted music.

The 9.2-channel RX-A3050 provides expandability to 11.2 channels and features Yamaha's proprietary CINEMA DSP HD3 technology that recreates immersive surround sound experiences. In addition, the RX-A3050 is equipped with an ultra-high performance ESS Technology 192-kHz/32-bit SABRE32 Ultra DAC for the seven main channels, as well as a SABRE Premier Audio DAC for the presence channels, to reproduce an incredible soundstage with high dynamic range that provides super low distortion and noise levels. The RX-A2050 integrates two ESS Technology SABRE Premier Audio DACs for exceptional sound quality, while the RX-A1050 uses one.

All AVENTAGE models now offer greater access to high-resolution audio files. This includes support for DSD (Direct Stream Digital; 2.6 MHz / 5.6 MHz) and AIFF content, in addition to playback of encoded files in WAV, FLAC and Apple Lossless audio.

Taking music streaming connectivity even further, each AVENTAGE model offers access to Spotify Connect and Pandora music services along with Internet radio provided by vTuner. The top five models also include SiriusXM Internet Radio and Rhapsody music streaming services.

All AVENTAGE models are compatible with the top-rated Yamaha AV Controller App enabling the AV receiver to be controlled seamlessly by Apple iOS and Android devices.

With the exclusive YPAO automatic calibration system, the RX-A550 optimizes speaker output to create the best possible listening experiences. The RX-A750 has YPAO - Reflected Sound Control, while the next three models offer YPAO - R.S.C. with multipoint measurement that calibrates the listening area for superior sound at every seating position. For maximum performance when using a 3D speaker array, the RX-A3050 expands YPAO - R.S.C. well beyond multipoint by adding angle and height calibration measurements.

For users looking to expand their entertainment beyond the living room, advanced HDMI multi-zone switching is available on the RX-A1050 and above models. This feature allows all input sources to be output via HDMI for enjoyment in different areas of the home simultaneously.
