Ahead of CES 2025, LG has introduced its 2025 QNED evo TV lineup, featuring upgrades in wireless capabilities, AI-powered personalization, and picture processing. The series is led by models like the QNED9M, which integrates True Wireless 4K and AMD FreeSync Premium for a seamless gaming and viewing experience. Available in sizes from 40 to 100 inches, these TVs aim to compete with the best in the segment.
One of the big highlights in LG’s 2025 QNED evo series is the new Dynamic QNED Color Solution. This tech replaces the quantum dots used in older models and aims to bring out brighter, more vibrant colors. According to LG, it covers at least 93% of the DCI-P3 color space, meaning it’s built to handle rich, lifelike hues. It’s even certified by Intertek for Color Volume, which backs up its ability to display colors faithfully without distortion.
This new color technology is available across the entire QNED evo lineup, so even the more budget-friendly models get a boost in color quality, not just the premium ones.
Wireless functionality is a big deal in the QNED9M. It brings LG’s True Wireless 4K tech—previously only seen in their high-end OLED M-series—into the mix.
With the help of the Zero Connect Box, you can stream 4K 144Hz video and audio to the TV wirelessly, without sacrificing quality or dealing with lag. This means no more tangled cables and a much cleaner setup, which is a win for gamers and home theater fans.
Speaking of gaming, the QNED9M doesn’t disappoint. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and comes with AMD FreeSync Premium certification, making it a great pick for those who want buttery-smooth and responsive gameplay.
LG’s 2025 QNED evo TVs are packed with some impressive AI smarts. Most of the lineup comes with the α8 AI processor, which is designed to make big strides in things like picture upscaling, HDR brightness, and sound quality. But if you’re looking at the QNED9M, it steps it up a notch with the α9 4K Gen8 processor—the same one LG uses in its premium C-series OLED TVs. That means sharper details and richer colors, especially on those ultra-large screens.
AI features include Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, which adjusts brightness on a scene-by-scene basis for more nuanced HDR effects. For audio, AI Sound Pro transforms two-channel audio into virtual 9.1.2-channel output, creating a more immersive soundstage.
LG’s AI Magic Remote also receives a significant upgrade for 2025. There’s now an AI button that helps you find content tailored to your preferences and even understands what you’re watching to give smarter suggestions. Need to search for something specific? The remote uses a large language model (kind of like chatting with a really smart assistant) to recommend movies, shows, and more based on what you like.
On top of that, the TVs are running webOS 25, LG’s newest smart TV system. It’s all about making your experience personal, from customized menus to tailored recommendations. Plus, LG plans to keep it updated for five years, so you’ll always have access to the latest features.
"Our renewed 2025 LG QNED evo lineup inherits OLED's differentiated picture quality along with a true wireless viewing experience and ultra-personalized solutions to deliver an outstanding super-large viewing experience that no other LCD TV can offer," said Hyoung-sei Park, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
The QNED evo range for 2025 features several distinct models:
LG’s OLED TVs have been the go-to choice in the premium market for years, but with the 2025 QNED evo series, they’re stepping up their LED game. These TVs are designed to take on high-end models like Samsung’s Neo QLEDs and flagship options from Hisense and TCL. Features like True Wireless 4K and the new Dynamic QNED Color Solution give LG a fresh angle in the competitive LED space.
As for pricing and release dates? LG is keeping those details under wraps for now, but we’re expecting to learn more at CES 2025 in January.
