If you’re in the market for a new gaming monitor this year, Acer’s got a couple of new options worth checking out. The company just announced two additions to its Predator lineup—the Predator X32 X2 and the Predator X27U X1. Both are built around QD-OLED panels, which combine quantum dot tech with OLED to deliver rich colors, deep blacks, and better energy efficiency compared to older LCD monitors.

These new models are aimed at gamers who want sharp visuals, smooth motion, and minimal lag—whether you're playing fast-paced shooters, open-world adventures, or just streaming some content on the side.

Let’s start with the bigger one: the Predator X32 X2. It’s got a 31.5-inch screen with a 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160), and a refresh rate that goes up to 240Hz. That’s a lot of screen real estate, and it’s designed for people who want an immersive gaming experience with crisp detail.

The Predator X27U X1, on the other hand, is a bit more compact at 26.5 inches and runs at 2560 x 1440 (WQHD). It has the same 240Hz refresh rate, but also includes a feature called Dynamic Refresh Rate. That lets the monitor drop down to 60Hz when you're not gaming—like when you're browsing or watching a video—to save some power.

So, if you’re looking for a large 4K display, the X32 X2 is the go-to. But if you want something smaller (and a little more desk-friendly) with solid performance, the X27U X1 might be a better fit.

What sets both monitors apart is the QD-OLED panel. It’s a blend of quantum dot and OLED technologies that allows for really deep contrast and bright, punchy colors. Both displays offer a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and are certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400. That means they’re capable of showing darker darks and more nuanced highlights—something that’s especially noticeable in dimly lit games or HDR video.

They also cover 99% of the DCI-P3 color range, which is great for people who care about color accuracy, whether for gaming, content creation, or streaming.

Gamers who care about responsiveness will be glad to hear that both monitors have an ultra-fast 0.03ms (gray-to-gray) response time. This helps minimize motion blur and ghosting, so you won’t miss those quick reflex moments during gameplay.

Both also support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which is designed to reduce screen tearing and keep things smooth, even when frame rates fluctuate. That’s helpful whether you’re on a high-powered gaming PC or a newer console.

Speaking of consoles, both monitors come with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports. That means they’re ready to work with the latest gaming consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, in addition to gaming PCs. These ports can handle high resolutions and refresh rates, so you're not bottlenecked by outdated connections.

In terms of ergonomics, Acer included stands that allow you to adjust tilt, height, and swivel. Whether you’re gaming for hours or just working from home, having the right angle can make a big difference.

To help with eye strain, both monitors come with BlueLightShield Pro, Acer’s tech for reducing blue light exposure. This can be useful if you tend to spend long hours in front of the screen.

And for those who like to multitask, Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes are included. You can view content from two devices at once—handy if you’re working and gaming, or gaming while keeping an eye on a stream or chat.
