Arcam, founded in the UK in 1972, emphasizes simplicity in its designs for the audio and home theater markets. Originally called A & R Cambridge Ltd, Arcam later shorted this to just ARCAM. Arcam still manufactures many of is products in the UK.

At the top end of the product line is the FMJ, or Faithful Musical Joy series, which has CD players, Blu-ray players, along with Integrated amps, preamps, power amps, and receivers. The Solo series is more lifestyle/iPod oriented. The Arcam rCube is a portable iPod speaker system.
