ATC Unveils Exclusive SCM20ASL Limited Edition Loudspeaker

In marking the commencement of its 50th Anniversary endeavors, the Acoustic Transducer Company (ATC) has revealed the impending launch of a distinguished new active stand mount loudspeaker, the SCM20ASL Limited Edition. This exclusive release comes adorned in a striking ATC blue high lacquer finish, accentuated by a front baffle hand-upholstered in royal blue full-grain Napa leather.

Adding to its allure, the loudspeaker can be paired with the equally captivating C4 SUB MK2 Limited Edition, boasting silver anodized amp hardware.

The debut of the ATC 50th Anniversary Limited Edition SCM20ASL Loudspeakers is set to take place at AXPONA 2024 in Schaumburg, IL, in collaboration with Lone Mountain Audio, the exclusive US distributor for ATC Loudspeakers in the hifi and CI (custom integration) market.

Renowned for their high output, and low-distortion sound reproduction, ATC's loudspeakers have been trusted by musicians, studios, live sound engineers, and audiophiles for over five decades.

This exclusive release features a 2-way active loudspeaker system, previously only available in a floor-standing model, equipped with ATC's proprietary 6” Super Linear Mid/Bass driver paired with a 1” S-Spec dual-suspension tweeter. Power is delivered by on-board class A/B MOSFET power amplifiers, capable of providing 200W and 50W continuous power to the bass and HF drivers respectively.

The SCM20ASL Limited Edition incorporates active, analogue 2nd order Linkwitz-Riley crossovers and an all-pass filter to optimize the phase response through the crossover region, resulting in enhanced tonal balance and imaging. Input to the loudspeaker is via balanced XLR, with user controls for input sensitivity and low-frequency shelf cut/boost, allowing for tailored adjustments to suit individual preferences and room acoustics.
