Amplifier Technologies Inc. (ATI) and Auro Technologies have today announced a partnership to integrate Auro-3D into the preamp/processors marketed by ATI's Theta Digital, ATI and B&K brands. The partnership brings together ATI's world-renowned American Muscle technology with Auro's Belgian revolutionary 3D audio format, and will see the companies collaborate around future products.
"ATI has always been at the forefront of audio innovation, and we believe that Auro-3D represents the next generation in audio, taking sound into the third dimension. I'm delighted that this partnership agreement with Auro Technologies will allow us to offer the Auro-3D experience to our customers," said Morris Kessler, President and Chief Designer of ATI.
"Amplifier Technologies Inc. are leaders in the design and manufacture of high performance amplifiers and audio components. We are delighted to be working with them to bring Auro-3D to audiophiles around the world", said Wilfried Van Baelen, CEO of Auro Technologies. "Auro-3D is a revolution in sound, adding the missing dimension of height to bring true 3D immersive movies and music to the home. We're looking forward to working together with ATI to deliver great new products over the coming years."
The Auro-3D format is the next generation in audio, adding a Height layer all around the audience, the final and missing dimension to traditional 5.1 surround sound, to fully immerse the listener in a cocoon of life-like sound. The Auro-3D format has revolutionized the cinema industry with true 3D Immersive Sound, and Auro Technologies is now delivering an end-to-end solution across consumer markets including home cinema, mobile, automotive and gaming.
Auro Technologies and ATI have already collaborated with great success, including at the recent 2015 International CES where a setup featuring technology from Auro-3D, ATI, CAT and Theta was lauded as 'the most mind-blowing surround demo at CES' by Sound & Vision. ATI equipment and Auro-3D technology was also used in the Auro 1 home theater installed by HomeTronics, which was awarded the best overall home theater award at CEDIA 2014, and was also given the CEA Mark of Excellence Award for the best home theater above $50,000 at the 2015 International CES. This new partnership will deepen the relationship and integrate Auro-3D support in ATI products.
