Audience recently announced the introduction of a new power conditioning filter section for its Adept Response AC power conditioners. The optional filter section, designated by an "S" at the end of the model number, reportedly offers improved sonic performance and is available on the Adept Response standard, model T and model TS power conditioners.

"The Audience Adept Response power conditioner S input filter upgrade adds a new dimension to an already superior filtering system," said John McDonald, President of Audience. "This filter section consists of a new large-core balun transformer implemented with the same OCC (Ohno) wire used to make the award winning Audience Au24 powerChord. The result is more effective filtering over a broader frequency spectrum, down into the critical 20-30 kHz range. By lowering the noise floor, more low level information is revealed."

The new S filter section can be ordered as part of a new Adept Response power conditioner or retrofitted into an existing unit. Adept Response units are available in either 120 volt or 220-240 volt configurations.

The Audience Adept Response S filter section is currently available at a suggested retail price of $1,000.
