AudioControl-d2800-d4600.jpgAudioControl had added two new amplifers to its Director Series. The 16-channel D4600 ($4,950) and eight-channel D2800 ($2,480) are both rated at 100 watts into eight ohms, and they incorporate Digital Signal Processing with onboard digital profiles of the most popular architectural loudspeakers. You can bridge channels to get more power, and the system allows for network monitoring/programming and graphic/parametric equalization by zone. Both amps will be available this month through authorized AudioControl dealers.

From AudioControl
AudioControl (audiocontrol.com) has introduced The Director models D4600 16-channel and D2800 eight-channel high-powered amplifiers for whole-house entertainment, engineered to address the needs of integration specialists and deliver exceptional performance from a sleek form factor. Both D-Series amplifiers deliver an unmatched combination of features, superb sound quality and fine-tuning capability, elevating them far above all other solutions in the multi-zone amplifier marketplace.

The Power of DSP and the Sound Partners Program
AudioControl D-Series amplifiers leverage technology from the company's award-winning Director M-Series amplifier lineup, delivering the benefits of DSP (digital signal processing) and onboard digital profiles of the most popular architectural loudspeakers created in conjunction with engineers from each brand. Both D-Series models produce 100 watts/eight ohms, 200 watts/four ohms per channel for the highest quality entertainment programming to any zone. Integrators can tailor the sound based on DSP profiles of leading speaker brands as part of AudioControl's Sound Partners Program, and then fine-tune these DSP profiles by individual zones based on acoustic environment. AudioControl D-Series amplifiers enable integrators to deliver eight channels of premium performance from a 1U chassis (D2800) or 16 channels from a 2U chassis (D4600) to accommodate nearly any system configuration.

AudioControl's powerful DSP engine includes graphic and parametric equalization by zone and network monitoring/programming. Channels are bridgeable, giving integrators configuration flexibility for system setup. No other multi-zone amplifier offers this combination of functionality and performance designed to satisfy a growing base of consumers and commercial applications demanding a superior entertainment experience.

AudioControl D-Series amplifiers are available exclusively through authorized dealer/integrators in a Black Espresso brushed aluminum finish. As with all AudioControl Director amplifiers, the new D-Series models are manufactured in the USA and are backed by AudioControl's standard five-year warranty and unmatched customer service. Both units will become available beginning January 2018 with a suggested client price of $4,950 U.S. for the D4600 and $2,480 U.S. for the D2800.
