AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and CES 2012 Will Not Coincide

AVN-Adult-Entertainment-Expo-2012-logo.jpgIt is arguable whether or not the pornography and the consumer electronics industries are intertwined, but their shows certainly have been. For many years, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo have taken place during the same week. This is not to be the case is 2012.

According to Gamer Live TV, a gaming news website, the AVN show will be moving to the week after the 2012 CES. The show will also be changing its venue to the Palms Casino Resort, with the AVN Awards show taking place on January 21st in the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms.

"After having hosted the AVN Awards for the past two years, the Palms is excited to help AVN take the Adult Entertainment Expo and the Adult Novelty Expo in a new direction," said George J. Maloof, Jr., chairman of the Palms Resort Casino.

This new direction is reflective of feedback from exhibitors and attendees, who felt that CES created a lot of complications with crowding and expenses. Now expenses should be lower and networking opportunities greater for exhibitors and attendees alike.
