Best 75-Inch TV Under $2,000

Here's a quick overview of some of the best 75-Inch TVs under $2,000!

There is nothing better than watching movies, TV shows, sports events, and other interesting content on a big television screen. Today, one of the best options for a premium watching experience is to get a 75-inch TV. Most people have smaller TVs despite having enough space for a 75-inch screen. There was a time when some of the biggest television screens you’d find at a store were so expensive that rarely anyone could afford them. Times have changed, and you can now get a 75-inch TV for a reasonable price.

Don’t get me wrong, you can get a good TV at a much lower price and 75-inch models are still considered a luxury. But considering how much people pay for a good smartphone or laptop these days, it’s evident that more customers can now afford a great TV. When you buy one of these premium models, you’ll be able to use it for years to come while digesting video content at the highest level.

The TVs mentioned in this list all have extraordinary picture and sound quality. They will provide you with an outstanding viewing experience. If you like playing video games, you can also use them to elevate your gaming experience. Although many 75-inch television screens can cost several thousand dollars, I’ve decided to focus on the affordable (but quality) models in this article.

    Best 75-Inch TV Under $2,000

If your budget for a 75-inch TV is up to $2,000, you will have plenty of different models to choose from. It might be hard for you to make a decision or even go through every screen within this price range, which is why I decided to compile a list of the best 75-inch TVs you can buy under $2,000. Here are the television screens I think are the absolute best in this price range.

    1
    Best TV Overall

Sony 75-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV X90K Series

Are you looking for a great TV that you can use to watch movies, TV shows, and sports in bright rooms? If so, you shouldn't look beyond the Sony 75-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV X90K Series. Of course, this TV is excellent for other types of content as well. You can use it if you're watching HDR or SDR movies. This model displays deep blacks and has an outstanding dimming feature that is perfect for watching new movies.

You can expect amazing picture quality and vivid colors on the Sony 75-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV X90K Series. However, there are certain times when you might notice blooming around bright objects. In other words, the image will appear smeared when there is a very bright element located next to a dark element. Another thing that's not so great about this television screen is its narrow viewing angle.

The Sony 75-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV X90K Series features a simple design that was made so that it would go along with any type of living room design. Apart from using it to watch content, you can also use this TV screen for gaming. It features 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, making it ideal if you have a console you can connect to the TV.

This television screen comes with an impressive audio system. Most TVs feature speakers located behind the screen. However, the Sony 75-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV X90K Series features an audio system that's located behind the display as well.

Another thing that makes using this TV an enjoyable experience is the inclusion of the Google TV operating system. This is by far one of the best operating systems for TVs. You can always rely on Google to keep track of the content you like.

    Pros:

    •     Perfect for watching movies, TV shows, and sports in bright rooms.
    •     Vivid colors and amazing picture quality.
    •     Extremely impressive audio system.

    Cons:

    •     This TV comes with a narrow viewing angle.

    2
    Best Picture Quality

    Hisense 75-Inch Class U8H Series Mini-LED Quantum

Hisense is a brand that's nowhere near as popular as Sony, Samsung, LG, and other giants in this industry. But in my opinion, it released the best image quality 75-inch TV under $2,000 in 2022. Hisense is a Chinese company that managed to provide exceptional value with the release of their U8H Series. The price of this TV sits at $1,500 and is worth every penny.

This is a TV that replaces the Hisense U8G, which was released in 2021. The U8H comes with a new mini-LED backlight system that features 528 dimming zones. In case you love watching new movies and TV shows loaded with special effects, you will love this television screen. The brightness and vividness of colors will make the content you're watching appear super realistic.

The Hisense U8H series is also a great option in case you plan on using the television screen mostly for gaming. There are four HDMI ports on this TV. Two are HDMI 2.1 ports, which are essential for a great gaming experience. Playing games is also made better due to low input lag, FreeSync support, as well as fast response time. The only thing that could've been better is if there were four HDMI 2.1 ports instead of two.

The Hisense U8H Series comes equipped with the Google TV system, that's easy to use and has excellent features. Google Assistant allows you to search for apps and content without having to type or click anything. You will have access to various apps thanks to the Google smart TV system.

The Hisense U8H Series features a built-in subwoofer. This takes its sound system to another level compared to the audio in almost any other TV in this price range. The subwoofer adds a lot of depth to the audio. Nevertheless, it's still recommended that you get a great soundbar to go along with this TV. Unfortunately, user complaints of not-so polished software and occasional audio-lag prevents this TV from topping our list.

    Pros:

    •     Equipped with a new mini-LED backlight system with 528 dimming zones.
    •     Low input lag, fast response time, and FreeSync support.
    •     Built-in subwoofer that adds a lot of depth to the audio quality.

    Cons:

    •     There are only two HDMI 2.1 ports.
    •     Interface and software is not as polished as other competitors

    3
    Best TV for Movies

LG 75-Inch Class 90 Series QNED

The LG 75-Inch Class 90 Series QNED costs a little under $2,000. The price for this TV is $1,900 and it's well worth the money. LG doesn't need any introduction when it comes to television screens. They've been making quality TVs for a long time. This model comes with a new mini-LED backlight system.

The mini-LED system is awesome tech that features extremely small diodes. There are tens of thousands of miniature LED diodes that are located behind the display. These diodes work together with local dimming zones to give you enhanced black color levels in dark areas and precise lightning in bright regions.

The technology used in this television screen really takes watching movies and TV shows to a whole new level. The picture quality is outstanding. Regardless of whether you're watching a nature documentary or a dark horror movie, this TV will make the experience so much better. In my opinion, this is the best television screen on this list for watching movies.

The LG 75-Inch Class 90 Series QNED utilizes this technology perfectly. This TV comes with 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and 4 HDMI ports. The first two inputs support HDMI 2.0, while the third acts as the eARC port. The fourth is the HDMI 2.1 port that's awesome for gaming.

If you've owned an LG smart TV before, then you are already familiar with webOS. This is the operating system that LG uses for its television screens. This is an operating system that features a recognizable appearance. It provides a clean overview of available apps that is easy to navigate. You can also adjust the order of the apps in the menu easily. You don't need to create an account in order to download applications on your TV.

    Pros:

    •     The lighting technology used provides outstanding colors and brightness.
    •     Perfect television screen for watching movies and TV shows.
    •     It comes with the easy-to-use webOS.

    Cons:

    •     There is only one HDMI 2.1 port.
    •     Sometimes the image is glowy when there is a bright element next to a dark one.

    Well Rounded Choice

VIZIO 75-Inch P-Series 4K QLED HDR Smart TV

The Vizio P-Series Quantum is an extremely powerful TV that you can get for around $1,500 and comes with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, eARC support, local dimming, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and smart home integration. When you get this TV, you will also receive a remote that features voice control. Like with every Vizio TV, this model is powered by SmartCast.

SmartCast allows you to turn your smartphone into a remote control. This will enable you to view content and download apps more easily. Vizio has spent a lot of time in the last few years enhancing the user interface on its SmartCast TV OS. The effort they put in is noticeable considering just how good it is for organizing content. There is just one downside to all of this - the interface relies on an internet connection too much.

With the Vizio P-Series Quantum, you can expect only the best when it comes to picture quality. The level of color and brightness is perfect when you're watching movies or playing games. When it comes to video games, it goes without saying just how grateful I am that this TV features 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. This makes it the perfect TV for gaming.

The sound generated by the Vizio P-Series Quantum is better than you would expect. Of course, nothing could ever replace a quality soundbar or a pair of great floorstanding speakers. But if you're yet to purchase speakers or a soundbar, you'll be happy with the sound quality of this TV in the meantime. This model shows a major improvement over the TVs Vizio has released in previous years.

This QLED screen comes pretty close to many OLED models. The only difference is that OLED TVs are far more expensive. At the price of $1,500, the Vizio P-Series Quantum really gives you a bang for your buck.

    Pros:

    •     Features 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, refresh rate of 120 Hz, and local dimming.
    •     The SmartCast user interface is excellent and allows you to easily organize content.
    •     Sound quality is surprisingly good.

    Cons:

    • The interface relies on an internet connection too much.

    5
    Best Budget Option

Samsung 75-Inch Class QLED Q60B Series

This is the most affordable Samsung 75-inch TV that incorporates QLED technology. The price for this TV sits at around $1,200. In case you're not familiar with QLED, it represents a technology based on nanocrystals that consist of ultra-fine semiconductor materials. Why is this important? Because it heavily impacts the colors you see on the screen in a good way.

You will notice the greatness of the QLED technology on this screen when you put on a nature documentary. The colors will come to life and you'll have a truly memorable experience. One of the only downsides to this TV is its narrow viewing angles. Another thing that's missing from the Samsung 75-Inch Class QLED Q60B Series is HDMI 2.1 support. Nevertheless, this model does feature 3 HDMI 2.0 ports.

The TV features the Tizen operating system, which was developed by Samsung Electronics. It's a neat operating system that's easy to use and easily allows you to switch between different apps. You will also find a menu within Tizen called Gaming Hub, which is greatly appreciated by gamers.

The built-in sound quality is not too great. It's okay for casual viewing. However, you will need to get a soundbar or a pair of floorstanding speakers if you want to experience better sound.

    Pros:

    •     Features QLED technology that brings out colors.
    •     Features the Tizen operating system with the Gaming Hub.

    Cons:

    • The built-in sound quality is not too great.

How to find the best 75-inch TV under $2,000?

There are some things that you need to consider when buying a TV. I have a list of criteria that I go through whenever I'm looking at a television screen I'm interested in. These criteria helped me choose the TVs mentioned in the section above. They can also help you compare different models and generally know what to look for in a television screen that's not mentioned in this article.

    Refresh Rate

Refresh rate is a really important metric that is used to determine the speed at which the image on the TV is refreshed each second. The refresh rate of your television screen should be based on what you intend to use it for the most. For instance, if you plan on using the TV to watch sports events and play fast-paced video games, you should get a model with a 120 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, it's best to get a TV with a 60 Hz refresh rate if you plan on using it mostly to watch movies and TV shows.

    Smart TV Capabilities

Most 75-inch TV screens come at a price above $1,000 so it makes sense that they feature access to various apps. Nevertheless, it's still important to make sure that you'll have this access to avoid paying for additional devices later.

    Screen Resolution

When you have a big screen, you want the picture quality to be as good as it can be. You will have an extraordinary viewing experience if your TV supports a high resolution. Thankfully, many 75-inch TVs come with 4K resolution.

    HDMI Ports

The number of HDMI ports on a TV are extremely important if you plan on using it for gaming purposes. In case you're a gamer, it's recommended that you get a TV with 4 or more HDMI ports. It's also a good idea to find a model that has at least 2 HDMI 2.1 ports.

    Dimensions

What every 75-inch TV shares in common is the size of the screen measured diagonally from the bottom left to the top right corner. Nevertheless, the TVs can vary heavily when it comes to width, height, and depth. Before you buy a 75-inch TV, make sure that you'll have enough room for it in your home.

    FAQs

How much does a 75-inch TV cost?

It all depends on what you're looking for. In case you're searching for cutting edge technology, you'll be looking to pay upwards of $4,000 for a TV. Nevertheless, there are models that cost around $1,000 and are incredible. There are many great models to choose from if your budget is up to $2,000.

Is a 75-inch TV worth it?

You might be wondering whether you really need such a big television screen in your home. Are they really worth the price? You’re likely asking this question because you never owned a 75-inch TV before. Once you get one, you'll immediately notice the superior viewing experience that comes with it. It'll likely be hard for you to go back to smaller screens after using a 75-inch model.

How far away from a 75-inch TV do I need to be?

It's advised that you mount your 75-inch TV on the wall of a spacious room. Once you do that, you should keep a distance of at least 7 feet away from the screen. An ideal distance would be around 12 feet away from the TV.

Is 4K resolution enough for a 75-inch TV?

TVs with 8K resolution have become increasingly popular recently. Although they definitely represent an improvement over 4K resolutions TVs, they come at a noticeably higher price. While 8K is great, 4K resolution is enough to provide you with outstanding picture quality and color on a 75-inch screen.

Can I safely mount a 75-inch TV on the wall?

As long as the TV you bought is TUV certified (like nearly all 75-inch screens are), you'll be able to safely mount it on your wall.
