At this year’s NAMM Show, Beyerdynamic is making waves with a fresh lineup of audio gear and some exciting live performances. The German audio brand has introduced four new in-ear monitor (IEM) models and revamped its popular DT 1990 PRO and DT 1770 PRO studio headphones. To top it off, Grammy-nominated artist Cory Henry and The Voice Season 23 winner Gina Miles are performing live at the company’s booth.

Beyerdynamic’s new IEMs—the DT 70 IE, DT 71 IE, DT 72 IE, and DT 73 IE—are all about delivering high-quality sound tailored to different needs. All models are powered by the brand's cutting-edge TESLA.11 dynamic driver system, delivering ultra-clear sound with minimal distortion (THD of 0.02%). These IEMs promise unmatched resolution and a maximum SPL of 137dB, making them some of the loudest and cleanest on the market.

Here’s a quick look at each model:

  • DT 70 IE: Perfect for mixing and critical listening, this IEM features linear tuning aligned with the Fletcher-Munson curve, ensuring accurate low-frequency and treble reproduction. Its -39dB passive sound insulation makes it a reliable choice for studio and live environments.
  • DT 71 IE: Tailored for drummers and bassists, it offers enhanced bass clarity and treble detail, with slightly reduced mids for a more dynamic feel—ideal for timing-critical performances.
  • DT 72 IE: Built for guitarists and singers, the DT 72 IE emphasizes natural sound balance while compensating for the "occlusion effect," ensuring precise mids and clean, detailed highs.
  • DT 73 IE: Designed for orchestral musicians and pianists, this model offers linear sound reproduction and a smooth, non-fatiguing sound profile, highlighting tonal precision and harmonic details.

Each pair comes with five sizes of silicone eartips and three pairs of Comply memory foam eartips for superior comfort and noise isolation. Priced at $499.99, the IEMs will be available in Q2 2025 via Beyerdynamic’s e-shop.

In addition to the IEMs, Beyerdynamic debuted the next generation of its studio headphones: the DT 1990 PRO MKII (open-back) and DT 1770 PRO MKII (closed-back).

Both models feature the new TESLA.45 premium drivers and reduced impedance (30 ohms), allowing compatibility with more devices without sacrificing audio fidelity.

  • DT 1990 PRO MKII: With an open-back design, this model is perfect for mixing and mastering, providing a spacious soundstage and precise bass response, even at the lowest frequencies.
  • DT 1770 PRO MKII: A closed-back counterpart designed for recording and monitoring, it delivers excellent isolation and a lively sound profile with deep, punchy bass.

Available now for $599.99, these headphones bring modern versatility to Beyerdynamic's trusted studio quality.

Beyerdynamic isn’t just showing off gear at NAMM—they’re also hosting live performances at their booth. Cory Henry, known for his incredible jazz and gospel talents, will perform on January 24 at 3:00 PM and hold a signing session the day before. Gina Miles, a breakout star from The Voice, will perform daily from January 23–25, giving attendees something special to enjoy while checking out the latest tech.

“At NAMM 2025, we’re excited to showcase a range of new products and initiatives that continue to build on our commitment to excellence in studio sound,” says Beyerdynamic CEO Andreas Rapp. “From our new in-ear monitor series to hosting live performances and collaborations with renowned artists, we’re proud to demonstrate our latest achievements at the show.”

For those attending NAMM, be sure to swing by Beyerdynamic’s booth to experience these products firsthand and catch live performances from Cory Henry and Gina Miles. If you’re not in Anaheim, keep an eye out for the IEMs hitting shelves in Q2 2025.
