Bowers & Wilkins, renowned for its cutting-edge audio solutions, proudly introduces the highly anticipated 800 Series Signature. Representing the pinnacle of the acclaimed 800 Series Diamond loudspeaker range, this ultimate edition offers unprecedented refinement and performance, setting a new standard for audio excellence.
The 800 Series Signature comprises two remarkable models: the 801 D4 Signature and the 805 D4 Signature. These speakers feature exclusive Signature technologies that have been meticulously developed, providing unrivaled insight, realism, and a listening experience that is second to none.
Leading the way is the 801 D4 Signature, an exceptional three-way floor-standing loudspeaker that takes the renowned 801 D4 to new heights. Building upon the iconic Abbey Road Studios-approved design, the 801 D4 Signature incorporates enhanced componentry, including powerful twin 250mm (10") Aerofoil Cone bass drivers with upgraded magnets for improved motor systems.
Its Turbine Head midrange enclosure is bolstered by a revolutionary aluminum top plate, featuring an optimized skeletal structure and strategic damping material to minimize resonance. These advancements result in enhanced midrange transparency and a captivating soundstage.
The 801 D4 Signature also boasts a redesigned aluminum port output, offering improved stiffness and reduced port noise. Combined with the upgraded Aerofoil Cone bass drivers, this refinement produces cleaner, distortion-free, and remarkably accurate bass reproduction.
Additionally, the crossover has been meticulously upgraded with new and improved bypass capacitors, further enhancing transparency. The tweeter grille mesh has also undergone a design overhaul, providing superior transparency and stiffness while protecting the delicate Diamond Dome tweeter.
The 805 D4 Signature delivers exceptional performance and versatility in a smaller, more compact form factor. It features a redesigned grille mesh, an upgraded crossover with new bypass capacitors, and a refined bass/midrange motor system for cleaner and extended bass response. The aluminum top plate has been mechanically optimized to minimize unwanted noise and vibrations, ensuring a unique listening experience.
To match their esteemed position within Bowers & Wilkins' loudspeaker portfolio, both the 801 D4 Signature and 805 D4 Signature are available in two exclusive new finishes. The Midnight Blue Metallic paint, reminiscent of the iconic Nautilus loudspeaker, features eleven painstakingly applied coats of paint and lacquer, resulting in a mesmerizing, polished finish.
These speakers are adorned with a bespoke blue Leather by Connolly trim on the top plate. Alternatively, the models can be selected in the exquisite California Burl Gloss wood veneer, featuring a luxurious high-gloss finish with unique wood figuring, elegantly complemented by black Leather by Connolly trim. Each California Burl Gloss speaker undergoes an elaborate finishing process, involving fourteen coats of lacquer and meticulous sanding, culminating in a finish that radiates opulence.
