He has served as editor-in-chief of Home Theater and Home Entertainment magazines, contributing technical editor for Sound & Vision magazine, senior editor of Video magazine, and reviews editor of Windows Sources magazine, and he also worked as marketing director for Dolby Laboratories.

He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, owns a full suite of audio testing equipment, and has been through ISF certification three times, including the very first ISF class.
