Creston_Pic5_HiRes-2.jpgCrestron, home automation system manufacturers, have teamed up with Jon Call of Mr. Call Designs. The pair have created a showcase for each other at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show®, featuring all the usual Crestron touches (motorized shades, automatic lighting, climate control, security, door locks and AV . . .) within a luxury living area.

From Crestron

Crestron will showcase its home automation solutions at the 13th annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show® March 20 - 23, 2014 at Pier 94 on 55th Street at 12th Avenue in New York, NY.

Crestron collaborated with Jon Call of Mr. Call Designs to show that the latest home automation technology can live in harmony with an elegantly designed luxury living space. In the space, motorized shades, automatic lighting, climate control, security, door locks and AV, including 4K video distribution and display, are seamlessly integrated with minimal impact on the stunning décor.

Visitors will see how just one touch of a button can close the shades, adjust the lighting, and start a movie. They'll also see how they can use mobile devices to keep tabs on the home while away, from adjusting thermostats to locking and unlocking doors.

In addition to showcasing a full line of integrated home automation solutions, Crestron will spotlight its motorized shades feature Quiet Motor Technology™ to manage daylight without disrupting activity in a space, and adjustable light and shade zones for scene control and comfort. The controller includes backlit, custom-engraved buttons for highly visible, intuitive operation.

"Homeowners are often afraid that home automation technology might 'take over' their space," says Tom Barnett, Crestron Director, Residential Marketing. "Designer Jon Call created the optimal setting for us to showcase how our technology can disappear into any beautifully designed home to simplify the homeowner's lifestyle without detracting from the design."

Attendees are invited to drop by the Crestron booth (#146) at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show to see live demonstrations of home control in a luxurious, finely designed living room.
