Datasat-LS10.pngDatasat has announced an upgrade to its LS10 AV processor to add support for Dolby Atmos. The LS10 supports 15 audio channels and already includes Auro3D decoding. It can also be upgraded to support Dirac Live. The LS10 offers advanced bass management and 10-band parametric EQ for each of the 15 channels, as well as eight HDMI 1.4a inputs and dual outputs.

From Datasat
Datasat Digital Entertainment introduces the Datasat LS10 home cinema processor now with award-winning Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound.

In partnership with Dolby for many years, Datasat has featured Dolby surround sound formats in all its products. The company first integrated Dolby Atmos in the best-in-class, flagship home audio processor, the RS20i. Now, the same capabilities come to the company's mid-range model, the LS10, with up to 15 audio channels and superior bass management to accommodate speaker configurations for a fully immersive luxury home cinema experience.

"Dolby Atmos is a format of choice for many top Hollywood filmmakers. The addition of Dolby Atmos in our LS10 brings an incredibly immersive sound experience into a wide range of performance-based products," says Steve Evanitsky of Datasat Digital Entertainment.

Understanding the Power of Fully Immersive Sound
Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound brings audio alive from all directions, including overhead, to fill the home cinema with astonishing clarity, power, detail, and depth. Using an innovative object-based approach to sound, Dolby Atmos overcomes many of the limitations of traditional channel-based sound mixing and reproduction. Filmmakers can place a sound object--a car horn, footsteps, an airplane engine--where it is most natural in 3D space.

High-end Sound Meets Excellent Value in the Datasat LS10
The LS10, a breakthrough in home audio processing, offers many of the same features as the high-end RS20i, including Dolby Atmos processing, at a price point that puts it in range of many movie enthusiasts and audiophiles looking for the highest quality sound and imaging

The Datasat LS10 provides precise control with 10 band parametric EQ for each of the 15 channels, and offers 8 HDMI audio and video inputs to support 3D audio and video formats. Dolby Atmos-enabled and Dirac Live upgradable, the LS10 offers superior processing performance to achieve an emotional cinematic experience rivaling today's commercial theaters right at home.

Like the RS20i, the LS10 is also Auro3D compatible, making Datasat the clear choice in audio processing for object-based surround sound applications.

"From two-channel listening rooms to immersive home theater environments, Datasat offers industry-leading capabilities and support for all the most popular audio formats," says Michael Alpert of Nantucket Media Systems, a leading Massachusetts integrator for high-end homes and home cinemas.

Full Support for Immersive Sound Projects
The LS10 with Dolby Atmos is available now through authorized Datasat dealers and distributors across the U.S. and the world, allowing home technology professionals to offer their discerning clients the best in immersive audio.

The Datasat team offers calibration services to ensure every system installed delivers the best sound, with every nuance audible for the most realistic, immersive experience possible. Offering the same technology found in state-of-the-art commercial cinemas, and the same calibration engineers who have worked on major Hollywood productions, Datasat stands by its dealers every step of the way to help them create a luxury home cinema experience that exceeds their clients' expectations.
