Crestron, one of the home automation industry's leaders, has added some of it tech to Denon and Marantz products as well. Denon and Marantz are all owned by the same parent company, D+M. Crestron Connected can be downloaded to each compatible product via firmware updates. It works with several Denon and Marantz brand AVR's and preamplifiers and allow them to be operated via a Crestron Automation System.

Home theater integration just got easier. D+M Group (parent company of Denon® and Marantz®), a global company dedicated to enhancing life through inspired sound solutions, is making system connectivity and integration easier by adding Crestron Connected™ technology to many of its AVR's and preamplifiers. The new technology can now be downloaded via an free online firmware update to the Denon models: AVR-X3000, AVR-X4000 and AVR-4520CI and Marantz models: SR6008, SR7008, AV7701* and AV8801 once downloaded Crestron Connected™ makes integration of many features like multi-zone audio and network streaming control simpler than ever for custom installers.

Crestron Connected provides the framework for a consumer electronics control system. By collaborating with Denon and Marantz, Crestron is embedding its control platform intelligence into many of D+M's AVR and preamplifier units. The AVRs that come with Crestron Connected can be easily controlled by a Crestron automation system via Ethernet, using native control that doesn't require complicated programming.
Now installers can easily customize the interface for both Denon® and Marantz® receivers for source switching, volume control, and internal controls such as Internet radio, using prebuilt UI templates or by designing their own

To access Crestron Connected Denon and Marantz installers can simply select the firmware update option via the unit's system setup menu.
