If you’ve ever tried to mirror your laptop or phone to a TV and ended up in a tangle of HDMI cables or confused over wireless settings, Nyrius might have something that makes your life a bit easier. The company has just rolled out two new products in its Orion Prime series — the TDD20 and TDD21 — both designed to let you stream HD video wirelessly, without needing Wi-Fi, apps, or any complicated setup.

Priced at $69.99 and $79.99, the Orion Prime TDD20 and TDD21 are now available on Nyrius.com and Amazon. These plug-and-play kits aim to help anyone looking to simplify how they connect devices to displays at home, work, or school.

What sets both the Orion Prime TDD20 and TDD21 apart is that they don’t rely on your home Wi-Fi network at all. Instead, they use a direct wireless signal based on radio frequency (RF) technology. That means no hunting for a network, no passwords to enter, and no dropped signals just because someone else is streaming in the next room.

Both kits support Full HD 1080p video at 60Hz and feature auto channel switching — a fancy way of saying they’ll try to avoid interference from other wireless devices in the area. For instance, if you’re giving a presentation in a crowded office or watching a movie in the living room, the idea is that you’ll get a stable signal without the usual wireless headaches.

“TDD20 and TDD21 were developed in response to the increasing demand for flexible, clutter-free setups,” said Tallouli Mohamed, Product Manager at Nyrius. “By eliminating the limitations of traditional cables, such as restricted length and clutter, users can enjoy the same high-quality audio and video output as HDMI cables, with the added benefit of wireless transmission.”

Orion Prime Wireless HDMI-to-HDMI Video Transmitter & Receiver TDD20

The Orion Prime TDD20 is built for people using HDMI-compatible gear — think laptops, desktops, cable boxes, Blu-ray players, and media streamers. The setup couldn’t be easier: plug the transmitter into your HDMI source, plug the receiver into your TV or projector, and you’re good to go.

It works at a distance of up to 150 feet in open spaces, or about 50 feet if you’re going through walls or floors. That makes it a solid option for decluttering your entertainment center or running a projector without needing to snake cables across the room.

And since it works with popular TV brands like Samsung, LG, and Sony, there’s no need to worry about compatibility or drivers.

Orion Prime Wireless USB-C to HDMI Video Transmitter & Receiver TDD21

If you’re working with newer devices that use USB-C, like the latest MacBooks, iPads, or Android phones, the Orion Prime TDD21 might be a better fit. It works just like the TDD20, but instead of plugging in via HDMI, the transmitter uses USB-C and still connects wirelessly to an HDMI-equipped display.

That makes it a convenient choice for professionals who want to share content from modern laptops or tablets without dealing with adapters or dongles. The compact design is easy to throw in a bag, which could be especially handy for people who travel for work, teach in multiple classrooms, or regularly set up presentations in new spaces.

Despite the differences in input (HDMI vs. USB-C), both devices share the same core tech. They stream at 1080p, automatically avoid interference, and transmit audio along with video. They’re designed to keep latency low and the connection stable, even when other wireless devices are nearby.

Neither one is built for 4K video or high-end audio setups, so if you’re expecting ultra-sharp resolution or immersive surround sound, you’ll want to look elsewhere. But for streaming YouTube videos, slideshows, or Netflix, they should do the trick.

These kits are best suited for one-to-one setups — connecting one device to one display. They’re not designed for broadcasting to multiple screens or handling advanced AV workflows, but for basic mirroring, they can really cut down on hassle.

They’re especially useful in situations where running long cables is impractical or unsightly. Think of wall-mounted TVs, conference room projectors, or church setups where keeping things tidy matters.

Do keep in mind that while Nyrius says the range is up to 150 feet in open spaces, real-world results may vary depending on your walls, layout, and other electronics.

Not sure if one of these is right for you? Nyrius offers a 30-day in-home trial, so you can test it out and return it for a full refund if it’s not a good fit. Return shipping is included, which lowers the risk if you’re on the fence.

The Orion Prime TDD20 and TDD21 aren’t trying to be all-in-one media hubs. They’re simple tools for a specific job: sending video from one device to a screen — wirelessly, quickly, and without fuss. If you’re trying to reduce cable clutter at home or set up an easy presentation solution at work, these kits might be worth a look.
