Dynaco was founded in 1955, and is best known for their famous and best-selling Stereo 70 amplifier introduced in 1959.

The Dynaco ST-70 also spawned many offshoots and modified versions of its design, including the Electronic Industries ST-70 C2/C3 which laid the foundation for the company that became Audio Research. Today, collectors continue to pursue vintage ST-70s.

Later in its history, Dynaco made many other products including CD players, matrix surround devices, tuners and loudspeakers.

Dynaco made a brief but not sustained comeback in the early 1990's.
