It’s easy to roll your eyes when budget headphones promise premium features. But the EarFun’s latest headphones might actually have a case. Priced at $69.99 on Amazon, the new Tune Pro headphones pack in a surprising list of features, from dual drivers and hybrid noise cancellation to AI-enhanced calls and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
Let’s start with what you actually hear. Inside each earcup is a dual-driver setup—a 40mm PET driver to handle the bass and mids, and a 10mm LCP driver that focuses on high frequencies. This design helps deliver more clarity and separation between sounds. The headphones also carry a Hi-Res Audio certification, which means they can handle high-quality audio streams if you’re using a capable source. Whether you’re listening to music, watching a show, or gaming, you should notice a step up in detail compared to more basic models.
Speaking of gaming and streaming, EarFun includes a Theater Mode, which tweaks the audio for more immersive stereo and 360-degree sound. There’s also a dedicated Game Mode you can activate through the EarFun app, aimed at reducing audio lag—something gamers will appreciate.
The Tune Pro uses a hybrid ANC (active noise cancellation) system, which means it has microphones inside and outside the earcups working together to cancel out up to 45dB of background noise, according to EarFun. If you prefer to plug in, there's also an AUX port, and you can still use the ANC features even when you're in wired mode. That’s a nice touch—some headphones disable ANC when unplugged, but that’s not the case here.
For anyone taking calls or joining virtual meetings, the Tune Pro includes a 5-microphone array paired with AI noise reduction. The goal here is to isolate your voice and filter out background noise, so you come through clearly without needing to shout or constantly repeat yourself. While it’s hard to say how it compares to high-end models without testing, this setup should be more than enough for day-to-day calls and video chats.
The headphones also support Bluetooth 5.4, offering a stable and power-efficient wireless connection. You can even pair the Tune Pro with two devices at once—a laptop and a phone, for example—and switch between them without needing to reconnect.
The standout feature here is battery life. With ANC turned off, EarFun claims up to 120 hours of playback, and around 80 hours with ANC on. That’s several times more than what many wireless ANC headphones offer, especially in this price range.
To put it in perspective, the likes of Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 and Marshall Monitor III offer similar battery life but cost around $280 and $350, respectively. The Tune Pro, by comparison, comes in at just $70. Even better, if you're in a rush, a 15-minute quick charge gives you up to 10 hours of use. A full recharge takes about three hours.
Weighing just over 10 ounces (289.5g), the Tune Pro is built for comfort and portability. The earcups are soft and breathable, and the foldable design makes it easy to pack into a bag.
If you like to tweak your sound, the EarFun app offers a multi-band equalizer and lets you adjust the noise cancellation settings. You can also enable Game Mode, check for firmware updates, and manage other headphone settings from the app. On the headphones themselves, basic controls let you manage playback, volume, and access your voice assistant without pulling out your phone.
The EarFun Tune Pro is available now on EarFun’s website and through its official Amazon store, with a launch price of $69.99. Even better, early buyers in the US can snag them for as low as $50. For now, the headphones are only available in black.
