ELAN makes and sells globally a full line of home automation products including touch screen remote controls, multi-room system control products, amps and much more.

ELAN was founded in 1989 in Lexington, Kentucky, where they are still located. ELAN claims to be the first to combine music, TV and telephone features into one whole-home entertainment/communications experience. Holder of 30 patents and sold in 58 countries, ELAN has experienced 700 percent growth since 1995.

Owned by Nortek since 2003, in 2005 ELAN purchased high-end audio manufacturer Sunfire. In 2007 HomeLogic, a leading manufacturer of IP-based home control systems became part of the ELAN group.
