Epson Adds New 1080p Ultra-Bright Projectors to Pro Cinema Line

Epson-G6970WU.jpgEpson has introduced four new Ultra-Bright Pro Cinema 1080p 3LCD projectors, targeted at the custom market and designed for use in bright viewing environments where light control is not an option. The lineup includes the�Pro Cinema G6970WU (shown here, $6,999), Pro Cinema G6570WU ($5,499), Pro Cinema 4855WU ($3,099), and Pro Cinema 1985 ($2,499). The top-shelf G6970WU is rated at 6,000 lumens, while the entry-level 1985 is rated is 4,800 lumens. The higher-end models incorporate HDBaseT and interchangeable lenses, as well as a variety of control protocols. The Pro Cinema 1985, meanwhile, has Miracast and Intel WiDi technology to wirelessly stream content from a compatible smartphone or tablet. The�Pro Cinema 4855WU is shipping now, and the other three models will ship in November.

Epson has unveiled an expanded line of Full HD 1080p Ultra-Bright Pro Cinema Projectors: the Epson Pro Cinema G6970WU, Pro Cinema G6570WU, Pro Cinema 4855WU, and wireless Pro Cinema 1985. Featuring up to 6,000 lumens of color brightness and 6,000 lumens of white brightness, Epson's latest projectors provide custom installers, sports and AV enthusiasts versatile solutions specifically designed to provide exceptional image quality and wireless connectivity in large, open ambient light environments that compete directly with traditional flat panels.

Dealers and their customers alike will benefit from the latest Epson Pro Cinema projectors' exceptional brightness, connectivity and installation flexibility to enhance their viewing experience to enjoy their favorite content. Designed with custom installers in mind, the Pro Cinema G6970WU, G6570WU and 4855WU are equipped with a suite of advanced features for easy installation and flexible setup, including vertical and horizontal lens shift, centered lens design and Arc Correction. In addition, Faroudja DCDi Cinema�technology produces state-of-the-art image quality without introducing artifacts. These versatile performers can even project content from two HD connections, side by side, with the Split Screen3 function. For added value and customization, the three models include a ceiling mount and extra lamp.

The Pro Cinema G6970WU and G6570WU offer a total of six lenses each --standard, rear, two middle and one long-throw--enabling installers to choose the lens best suited for the space. A quick-release lever provides fast, easy lens exchange. Cutting edge HDBaseT connectivity, ideal for large home installations, integrates full HD video, audio, network and control commands into a single CAT 5/6 cable that may be extended up to 328 feet--significantly reducing installation costs by eliminating additional cables, signal repeaters and labor.

The Pro Cinema G6970WU and G6570WU offer seamless control protocol support and are compatible with Crestron, AMX, Extron XTP and Control4 Simple Device Discovery Protocol. For extra flexibility, the Pro Cinema G6970WU adds HD-SDI (Serial Digital Interface) connectivity to extend the signal 300 feet supporting high frame rates and color depth.

The Pro Cinema 1985 wireless projector shines bright and supports the latest in connectivity--transforming the projector into a versatile home entertainment hub. Users can stream media from a smartphone, tablet, or laptop using cutting-edge wireless projection with Miracast and Intel WiDi. For brilliant entertainment right out of the box, the projector features built-in sound and two HDMI ports to connect cable and satellite boxes, gaming consoles and more. In addition, the Pro Cinema 1985 supports MHL-enabled devices, including Chromecast, Roku 4 and Amazon Fire TV Stick.

The Pro Cinema G6970WU, G6570WU and 1985 will be available in November through CEDIA and specialty dealers. The Pro Cinema 4855WU is shipping now. Each projector comes with Epson's industry leading service and support, including toll-free access to Epson's PrivateLine priority technical support, and free two-business day exchange with Extra Care Home Service. The Pro Cinema 4855WU and Pro Cinema 1985 include a three-year limited warranty, while the Pro Cinema G6970WU and Pro Cinema G6570WU include a four-year limited warranty.
