Epson has recently announced two new projectors, the MovieMate 85HD and the MovieMate 62, to launch its new line of products.
The new projectors feature quite a few features. Both models feature a 3LCD projector, built-in CD/DVD player, as well as Dolby Digital audio through two built-in 10-watt speakers. The MovieMate 85HD features 720p resolution while the MovieMate 62 tops out at 540p, thus the lack of an HD in the model name. Both models feature a brighter, more efficient E-TORL bulb when compared to previous Epson models. The new bulb in the MovieMate 85HD can project up to 2,500 color and white light output. The MovieMate 62 manages to pull off a 2,000 color and white light output.

Both models have an integrated microphone jack. The idea here is that you can plug in a microphone to narrate a slide show or have a karaoke night. Also, the devices have several connections, including HDMI, so that you can plug in your computer, camera, or MP3 player. Also, both the CineMate 85HD and 62 are listed as being compatible with iPods, the Wii, the PlayStation 3, and the XBOX 360.
Reportedly, both models can project a 60-inch image from six feet away and a 120-inch image from 12 feet away.
The MovieMate 85HD retails for an MSRP of $899 and the MovieMate 62 for $649. Both units will be available in late September.
