FiiO has introduced a new all-in-one desktop audio device called the K15. It’s designed to be a central hub for your music listening setup, handling everything from digital-to-analog conversion to headphone amplification and even network streaming. Priced at $549 (or £499 / €599), the K15 officially launches on August 1, 2025, with an early hands-on preview happening at CanJam London on July 19.
If you’ve ever wanted one device to handle most of your listening needs—whether it’s streaming music, powering your headphones, or working as a digital audio converter for a full stereo system—the K15 is aiming to fit that role.
In many ways, the K15 looks like a scaled-down version of FiiO’s K17. But don’t let that fool you, this little unit still has a lot going on under the hood.
Inside the K15 are two AKM AK4497S DAC chips. These chips are part of AKM’s latest “Velvet Sound” series and have been arranged in a dual-mono setup—one DAC per channel—which helps improve stereo separation and reduce distortion. In plain terms, this means better clarity and detail in your music.
Everything from the DACs to the amplifier circuit follows a fully balanced and differential layout. This type of design helps cut down on noise and crosstalk between channels, which can lead to cleaner, more accurate sound. FiiO has even gone the extra step of separating the digital, analog, and power components onto three individual circuit boards inside the device—a layout they refer to as “tri-board”—to reduce interference.
One key feature of the K15 is its power. The headphone amp section uses a discrete Class-AB amplifier that can deliver up to 3,000mW (or 3 watts) per channel when using the balanced output. That’s more than enough to drive high-impedance over-ear headphones, but it’s also designed to keep noise levels low for sensitive in-ear monitors.
On the front of the device, you’ll find a range of headphone outputs: 1/4-inch, 4.4mm balanced, and XLR. There are also five different gain levels to choose from, so you can match the output strength to your specific headphones. A front panel switch lets you toggle between headphone output, preamp mode, and line-out mode, depending on how you’re using the device.
Beyond its headphone and DAC capabilities, the K15 also acts as a streaming device. It supports both wired (Gigabit Ethernet) and wireless (dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi) connections. You can stream using Apple AirPlay 2, or, if you’re a Roon user, you’ll be happy to know the K15 is already certified as Roon Ready.
There’s a generous mix of digital inputs too: USB-C and USB-A for connecting to a computer or playing files directly from a storage drive, plus coaxial, optical (TOSLINK), and Bluetooth with LDAC and aptX HD support. Analog fans aren’t left out either—there are RCA and 4.4mm inputs and outputs, as well as balanced XLR outs, making it easy to integrate with a larger audio setup.
The front panel is equipped with a 3.93-inch color touchscreen, flanked by two knobs—one for volume and the other for navigating the menu. If you prefer a visual element to your setup, the screen can even display VU meters.
You don’t have to get up to tweak the settings either. The K15 comes with an infrared remote and works with the FiiO Control app (on iOS and Android), which gives you access to all its settings, including a 10-band parametric EQ. That means you can shape the sound to your liking, whether you want a bit more bass, a midrange lift, or something completely custom.
The K15 comes with a built-in 30W AC power supply but also offers the option to run off a 12V DC input if you want to upgrade to a dedicated external linear power supply. Inside, FiiO has used separate power rails for the analog and digital circuits, with multiple regulators to ensure each section gets clean and stable power.
If you’re putting together a desktop audio setup, or just want something that can handle headphones, speakers, streaming, and more without needing multiple boxes, the FiiO K15 looks like a well-rounded option. It brings together a solid set of features for a midrange price and might appeal to both newcomers and more seasoned listeners who want an all-in-one solution.
You’ll be able to get your hands on the K15 starting August 1, 2025, or check it out early at CanJam London on July 19, where FiiO will be demoing it with their flagship FT7 headphones.
