FiiO, a prominent name in the digital audio industry, has launched three new products ahead of CES 2025: the S15 music streamer, the K17 headphone amplifier, and the JM21 portable music player. These releases span a variety of price points and functionalities, appealing to a wide range of audio enthusiasts. All three devices are expected to hit the market in late January.
Marking its first foray into full-sized network streamers, the FiiO S15 introduces a robust combination of features and high-resolution audio capabilities. At $999, the S15 positions itself as a mid-tier option for audiophiles seeking a comprehensive streaming solution.
The device features a large 7.8-inch touchscreen, running on the custom FiiO OS based on Android 12. This user-friendly interface offers intuitive controls for managing music libraries and streaming services.
Under the hood, the S15 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Its audio architecture is anchored by dual AKM DACs (AK4191 and AK4499EX), designed to deliver high-quality sound with support for formats up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256. For even greater storage capacity, an M.2 hard drive slot is included, enabling the S15 to function as the centerpiece of a high-end audio system.
Connectivity options abound with the S15, which includes optical, coaxial, HDMI inputs and outputs, as well as Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive and LDAC support. The streamer is also Roon Ready and integrates seamlessly with popular platforms such as Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, and Deezer. The addition of FiiO’s proprietary Digital Audio Purification System (DAPS) promises improved clarity by minimizing jitter during playback.
