Final UX3000 SV Headphones Put Voices Front and Center—and Silence Too

Final’s new UX3000 SV headphones take a different path, tuning for voice clarity instead of just loudness.

If you’re the kind of person who listens to a lot of podcasts, audiobooks, or just prefers crisp vocals over bass-heavy rumble, Final’s latest wireless headphones might be speaking your language—literally.

The new UX3000 SV headphones are a follow-up to Final’s original UX3000 from 2022. While they keep the clean, minimalist look of the original, there’s a lot going on under the hood that’s new. Final—an audio brand out of Japan with a strong following in the audiophile world—has reworked the internals to focus on one thing above all: clarity. Especially when it comes to vocals.

They officially go on sale June 19, 2025, and are priced at $149.99 in the U.S. (also available in the UK for £119.00 and Europe for €139.00).

At first glance, the UX3000 SV looks a lot like its predecessor. It’s still compact, foldable, and finished in that sleek, matte silver “Shibo” texture that doesn’t attract fingerprints. Handy for travel or tossing into a bag without worrying about scratches.

But inside, it’s a different story. Final swapped in new custom-designed 40mm drivers and built them into a special acoustic chamber that’s tuned specifically to make voices sound more natural and defined. Whether you’re catching up on your favorite true crime podcast, in a Zoom meeting, or just listening to a stripped-back vocal track, the tuning aims to bring those voices forward, without drowning them in bass or sharp treble.

One key feature? A Noise-Cancellation-Only Mode. That means you can turn on the active noise canceling (ANC) without playing any music at all. It’s a small thing, but if you’ve ever worn headphones just to block out airplane noise or office chatter—without actually listening to anything—you’ll probably appreciate this.

The ANC itself is a hybrid system using two microphones on each earcup (one inside, one outside) to analyze and cancel out external sound. Final says they’ve tuned it to reduce ambient noise while still keeping your audio clear and detailed—not the usual trade-off where ANC kills the mood of the music.

The UX3000 SV supports aptX and aptX HD, which gives a nice boost in wireless audio quality, especially for Android and Windows users. You also get Bluetooth 5.0 for a reliable connection, plus multipoint pairing, so you can stay connected to, say, your phone and laptop at the same time. No need to juggle devices or reconnect constantly.

Battery life is solid: up to 35 hours on a full charge if you’re not using ANC, or around 25 hours with it turned on. That’s enough to get through a full week of commuting or workdays without hunting for a charger. And when you do need to recharge, it takes about 2.5 hours via USB-C.

In a market where a lot of headphones try to pack in every feature under the sun, the UX3000 SV keeps things focused. It’s not trying to beat Sony or Bose at their own game. Instead, Final is going after listeners who want something a bit more specific: clear vocals, a lightweight design, dependable ANC, and easy everyday use.

It also seems like a response to some of the criticism the original UX3000 got for sounding a little too flat or generic. The SV version tries to fix that with better vocal separation and a more lifelike presentation, especially in the midrange where voices live.
