As AXPONA 2025 kicks off in Chicago, Focal is preparing to highlight its full lineup of high-performance audio gear across home theater, hi-fi, and personal listening.

Focal Brings Cinema, Wireless Sound, and Headphones to AXPONA 2025

When AXPONA 2025 opens its doors in Chicago on April 13–15, Focal will be there with something for just about every kind of listener. From immersive home theater systems to high-performance wireless headphones, the company, alongside longtime partner Naim, is covering nearly every corner of the listening experience. Whether you're into stereo systems, full-blown surround sound, or just looking to upgrade your personal audio setup, Focal’s showing is one of the most comprehensive at the expo.

At the center of Focal’s AXPONA display is the North American debut of the Utopia Cinema speaker line. This modular system is built for dedicated home theaters up to 2,100 square feet in size (about 200 square meters). The lineup consists of two primary components: the Cinema LCR, a 3-way loudspeaker designed for left, right, or center channel use, and the Cinema SUB, a subwoofer with dual 13-inch drivers tuned to reach down to 19Hz.

The LCR speaker includes adjustable crossover settings and can be oriented vertically or horizontally, depending on where it’s placed in the room. Inside are Focal’s advanced driver technologies, including a beryllium tweeter and a midrange driver with TMD suspension aimed at minimizing distortion.

The Cinema SUB supports high output while maintaining low distortion, thanks to its large, front-facing laminar port. Both speakers are available now, with the LCR priced at $11,999 and the SUB at $5,999.

To give attendees a real taste of what Utopia Cinema is capable of, Focal has built out a full 7.4.4 channel home theater in one of its demo rooms. The system includes five Cinema LCRs and four Cinema SUBs, along with Focal’s 1000 Series in-wall and in-ceiling models handling the surround and height channels.

Power comes from Naim components, including four CI-NAP 101 mono amplifiers and the Focal Astral 16 processor/amp combo. The room is also acoustically treated with Vicoustic panels to help control reflections and deliver a clearer, more focused sound.

Altogether, the system adds up to over $150,000 in gear—a good example of what’s possible when high-performance audio meets serious custom integration.

For attendees interested in high-end sound without the gear rack, Focal is also showing off the Diva Utopia, a wireless speaker that includes its own amplification and digital signal processing onboard. Designed for ease of use without sacrificing audio quality, it can stream music directly from a smartphone, network player, or other wireless sources.

It’s not an entry-level product—the Diva Utopia is priced at $39,999—but it’s a streamlined option for anyone who wants premium sound in a single, self-contained unit.

Focal is also using the show to highlight a range of two-channel systems suited for different room sizes and budgets:

  • The Sopra N2 speakers ($20,998/pair) are paired with Musical Fidelity’s Nu-Vista preamp and amplifiers.
  • The Kanta N2 speakers ($11,998/pair) are connected to the Naim New Classic 200 Series, including a streamer, power amp, and power supply—all priced at $8,999 each.
  • More compact systems include the Theva N°3 speakers ($2,598/pair) and the Naim CI-Uniti 102 integrated amplifier ($1,499).
  • Outdoor options are also on display with the Littora 4.1 bundle, featuring weather-resistant satellites and a subwoofer, plus the rock-shaped OD Stone 8 speakers.
Focal Bathys MG headphones.

In the headphone section, Focal is debuting the Bathys MG, a wireless noise-cancelling model positioned above the original Bathys. It uses upgraded materials—like real leather and magnesium—and features improved ANC performance and comfort. The Bathys MG are available for $1,299, while the original Bathys remains in the line at $699 on Amazon.

Other wired headphone models on display include:

All of the headphones are available for demo with Naim’s Uniti Atom Headphone Edition, offering visitors a chance to try each model in a well-matched system.

In addition to the main demo rooms, Focal has partnered with Next Level HiFi to showcase additional systems in two other rooms:

These setups give attendees even more opportunities to hear how Focal’s speakers perform in different acoustic environments and configurations.
