Focal Naim America has announced the release of two new high-definition audio playlists designed to deliver an immersive listening experience. These playlists, titled “Mixed on Focal” and “Mastered with Focal,” leverage advanced audio technologies to provide a spatial audio experience on various playback systems, including mobile devices.

The two playlists—"Mixed on Focal Immersive Vol. 1" and "Mastered with Focal Immersive Vol. 1"—highlight tracks mixed and mastered using Focal’s professional and Hi-Fi audio equipment. As immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos™ and Sony 360 Reality Audio gain popularity, these playlists aim to showcase the enhanced audio capabilities and the intricate soundscapes achievable with Focal's technology.

The "Mastered with Focal Immersive Vol. 1" playlist includes tracks mastered by renowned audio engineers. Michael Romanowski from Coast Mastering in Berkeley, California, utilized Focal Stella Utopia EM and Utopia Diablo Evo Hi-Fi speakers for the mastering process.

Additionally, Marc Theriault from Montreal’s Le Lab Studios mastered tracks using Focal Trio11, Trio6, and Solo6 professional monitors. This playlist is accessible on Apple Music and Amazon Music HD in Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 formats, though Tidal does not support the Sony 360 format.

The "Mixed on Focal Immersive Vol. 1" playlist features contributions from mix engineers Bobby Campbell, Nick “Squids” Squillante, Brad Smalling, and Robert Guzman. These tracks were mixed using Focal's professional monitors, including the Trio11, Trio6, Solo6, and Alpha Evo models. The playlist is available on Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon Music HD in Dolby Atmos format.

These new playlists are made available to Focal’s Hi-Fi and Pro Audio dealers, members of the press, and both current and prospective customers. By providing nearly three hours of immersive music, Focal aims to attract a wide range of listeners, from Hi-Fi enthusiasts to professional audio engineers. The tracks feature a variety of artists, including well-known names such as Fantastic Negrito, Bonnie Raitt, Alicia Keys, Sia, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Lyle Lovett, and Prince.
