If you’ve ever spent time behind the decks—or just dreamed of it—there’s a good chance you’ve seen a pair of V-Moda headphones in action. The brand, now under Roland’s umbrella, has been a go-to for DJs for over a decade, thanks to its edgy design and club-focused sound. Now, they’re back with two new models: the M-100 PRO and the M-10.
The M-100 PRO is the latest evolution of V-Moda’s flagship headphones, building on the original M-100 that first launched in 2012. It’s made for working DJs who need reliable gear that can handle loud venues and long sets. On the other end, the M-10 is aimed at newcomers, offering a similar V-Moda vibe in a more streamlined, budget-friendly package.
Let’s start with the M-100 PRO. If you’ve used the original M-100s before, you’ll feel right at home. The overall design is still that signature V-Moda mix of industrial style and solid metal build, but there are a few key updates.
The biggest change is on the inside: 50mm ceramic-coated drivers and redesigned bass ducts that help bring out the punch and clarity of kick drums, hi-hats, and other rhythmic elements. For DJs, being able to hear those details clearly—especially in a noisy club or at a festival—is crucial.
The headphones use a closed-back design and come with memory foam ear pads that are meant to stay comfortable during long gigs. The ear cups can swivel, which makes it easy to switch to one-ear monitoring when you need to hear the crowd or another input. And in a thoughtful move, the ear cups are now detachable—so if they wear out, you don’t need to replace the whole thing.
The M-100 PRO also folds down to fit in a carrying pouch, which is included in the box. Two cables come with it: a long, coiled 3-meter cable and a straight 1.5-meter version. Whether you’re standing at a DJ booth or sitting in a studio, you’ve got options.
If you’re just starting out, or you want something a little simpler and less expensive, the M-10 might be more your speed. This model replaces the older Crossfade LP2 and brings a lot of the same design philosophy to a more affordable headphone.
The M-10 keeps the closed-back, over-ear style and sticks with the “beat-tuned” sound that V-Moda is known for. It’s all about delivering strong bass and sharp highs, helping DJs hear what they need to while mixing or practicing.
It also comes with large memory foam ear pads and a solid build that’s designed to last through regular use. You still get the detachable cable system with both coiled and straight options, and a travel pouch is included for taking it on the go.
It’s not quite as customizable as the M-100 PRO—no detachable ear cups here—but it keeps the essentials and trims the extras, which makes sense at its lower price point.
These new models land at a time when DJs are doing more than just club gigs. From livestreaming and content creation to bedroom practice and studio production, the headphone needs are changing. V-Moda seems to be adjusting its lineup to meet those needs, with a pro option that’s built to take a beating and a lighter-weight model that’s easier to get into.
Whether you’re spinning at packed venues or cueing up your first track at home, the M-100 PRO and M-10 give DJs two paths to plug into the V-Moda ecosystem, depending on where you are in your journey.
Both headphones are expected to launch in Q3 2025. The M-100 PRO will retail for $299.99, while the M-10 comes in at $179.99. That’s a pretty clear price gap, and it lines up with the way these two models are positioned—one for professionals who need more flexibility and durability, the other for learners and casual performers who still want solid performance.
