The GooDee YG600 Plus projector is a great option for anyone looking for a high-quality and versatile projector for home entertainment. Its small size also makes it compact for the mobile office worker. It has a high resolution and brightness, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, Dolby audio speakers, zoom and keystone correction functions, and an affordable price.
The projector can project images from 44” to 230” in size, with an optimal size of 120 inches. It has a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, which means it can display full HD images without any compression or scaling.
It also supports 4K input, which means it can accept signals from 4K sources such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, or streaming devices. However, it will downscale the 4K signal to 1080p, so you may not always get the full benefit of 4K resolution.
Pros
Cons
Most video projectors on the market for home entertainment assume a similar design: oval rounded casing, sleek black or grey, large focus dial, and various operational buttons. The YG600 Plus projector is a mini projector that measures 12 x 9.36 x 4.68 inches and weighs 5.5 pounds.
It has a sleek and modern design, with a black body and silver accents. It has a lens on the front, a focus ring on the top, a zoom dial on the back, and a keystone correction dial on the side. It also has several ports on the back, including HDMI, VGA, AV, USB, and audio.
It comes with a power cable, a remote control, an AV cable, a VGA cable, and a user manual.
The projector has a lamp life of 78,000 hours, which means it can last for more than 20 years if you use it for 10 hours per day. It also has a cooling system that consists of two fans and heat dissipation holes that can prevent overheating and prolong the lifespan of the projector.
There are a few other aspects to the video projector’s design that could be improved.
The Y600 Plus’s power cord should at least be twice the length, especially if a 10 ft. distance is required. If you’re going to project onto a wall, it would be nice if you had more slack to work with while not having to worry about an extension cord. Coupling with a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection helps, but the issue of finding a wall outlet remains the same.
An internal battery would be nice for the Y600 Plus but it's understandable given its price range. Finally, there is no way to mount the projector to a tripod although upon removal of the rubber feet, there are M4 screw holes that can be used for ceiling mount.
GooDee made sure to encompass as many video projector connection options as possible, allowing you to be prepared for just about any home theater configuration. You can connect the Y600 Plus to a Playstation or X-box AV port, speaker port with 3.5 audio jack, laptop with HDMI, and even a USB port.
In addition, the 4K projector includes options for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi screen mirroring, thereby providing home entertainment enthusiasts an option for a cinema experience at home or while on the go. Overall, the setup process was straight forward and we’ve highlighted each connection below.
