In collaboration with MoFi distribution, HiFi rose has announced its very first stand alone Network Transport device, the RS130 Ultimate Network Transport. The RS130 will be a flagship product for the company, designed not only to exude luxury with its look, but also to deliver the very best in digital audio using advanced technological innovation.
The HiFi Rose 130 works with the strong foundation set by their streaming devices, incorporating a user-friendly UI based on their other streaming devices sporting the HiFi ROSE badge. Internally, the RS130 will have many features which both enhance its technical performance and ease of use.
Leveraging Fiber Optic Internet, the RS130 will enjoy a noise-free environment, by isolating network noise and removing any physical noise created by network equipment.
In addition, the Fiber Optic USB utilizes optical conversion to separate pure data from driving noise, ensuring flawless sound. A SFP Ethernet to Fiber Optic module and receiver, and SFP USB to Fibre Optic modules are needed in order to take full advantage of these features, which will be sold separately.
In order to effectively remove all vibrations, the RS130 employs an overbuilt power supply with high capacity supercapacitors and a specially processed all aluminum chassis.
The RS130 will also utilize an ultra-precise OCXO(Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillators) clock, which is immune to temperature changes, ensuring a very precise digital audio signal across all digital outputs. A feature that HiFi Rose says will ensure an accurate music signal previously thought unachievable.
The RS130 seeks to eliminate any issues associated with network instabilities with an internal NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express protocol) SSD memory caching system that ensures stable playback. There are also external master clock inputs, both 50Ω and 70Ω, to achieve maximum compatibility and audio quality.
Other internal specifications include the following:
Externally, the RS130 will exude a luxury design that matches its high-end performance. Available in two colors, silver and black, the product will feature a 15.4” wide full color screen in 1920 x 32 resolution.
The screen runs the entire width of the RS130’s front panel, and is touch controlled. Optionally, it can be connected to a big screen via HDMI, alongside the ROSE OS and RoseTube app.
For controls, there are four ergonomic crystal buttons available on the top panel for ease of access and playback functionality. There is also a bluetooth remote packaged with the RS130, as well as control options via the ROSE Connect controller
All relevant digital connectors can be found on the back panel of the RS130, where the noise free digital signal will pass through. The additional listed input options available to the RS130 are: A USB Type-A 2.0 (Isolated), two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a SATA 3.0 SSD port.
There will be a variety of different streaming options available to the RS130, including Apple AirPlay, DNLA and Bluetooth, as well as support for Spotify Connect. The RS130 is also Roon Ready. The on board apps on the RS130 include Apple Music, Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify.
The RS130 is priced at $5,195.00 USD and promises to deliver exceptional, noise-free audio coupled with an upscale design and easy-to-use interface. The product is not currently available for purchase but is expected to be very soon.
