Hisense has officially released its highly anticipated home cinema projectors, the PX2-Pro and PL1. These 4K laser projectors were initially introduced at CES 2023, and now with full specifications and pricing details available, they promise to deliver exceptional home theater experiences. The PX2-Pro, known as a TriChroma Laser Cinema model, and the PL1, a 4K smart UST projector, bring advanced technology and features to the comfort of one's own home.
The PX2-Pro stands out with its ability to create an immersive cinematic experience, and it does so by delivering a vibrant 4K UHD picture with a powered focus lens that can sharpen visuals up to 130 diagonal inches.
The projector employs a triple-laser (RGB) light source designed to operate for a remarkable 25,000 hours, producing 2,400 ANSI lumens. This impressive light source covers a broad color gamut, equivalent to 107% of the wide BT.2020 standard, promising a rich and realistic color palette that breathes life into every scene.
In addition to exceptional color performance, the PX2-Pro supports popular high dynamic range (HDR) formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG content, offering a wide range of content compatibility. Its dynamic contrast ratio reaches 2-million:1, ensuring sharp and crisp images in fast-action scenes. Furthermore, MEMC frame interpolation technology takes care of reducing blur in dynamic sequences.
For the convenience of streaming enthusiasts, the PX2-Pro comes equipped with Google TV, providing easy access to a multitude of streaming apps, including Netflix, via built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi. There are three HDMI 2.1 ports for connecting more traditional media sources or gaming consoles, with one port featuring audio return support.
The built-in Dolby Atmos sound system, featuring 30-W speakers, promises immersive audio quality, including clear speech, crisp highs, and powerful lows, without the need for additional audio equipment. The PX2-Pro is currently priced at $2,797.97 and is available for purchase now at Amazon.
The PL1 shares many features with the PX2-Pro, offering an immersive and true-to-life 4K image experience. It features a powerful X-Fusion laser light source, producing 2,200 ANSI lumens, ensuring sharp images and vibrant colors. Like its pricier counterpart, the PL1 boasts a 25,000-hour lifespan for its blue laser and phosphor color filter engine.
The PL1 is designed with Google TV for seamless streaming, and its powered focus lens can create images ranging from 80 to 120 inches. It covers 85% of the DCI-P3 color space, providing a broad color spectrum, and its Dolby Audio sound system complements the visuals with powerful audio. The PL1 projector is currently available at the discounted price of $1,997.97 at Amazon.
