Danish audio company Jabra has expanded its lineup of true wireless earbuds with the introduction of two new models: the Elite 10 and the Elite 8 Active. Known for their reliable performance and sound quality, Jabra's earbuds have garnered a strong reputation since their first release in 2018. The latest additions to the Elite series continue this tradition by offering a combination of advanced features and durability.
The Elite 10, Jabra's new premium model, boasts an array of impressive features. The earbuds feature a semi-open design called ComfortFit, which combines the fit of the Elite 7 Pro with the all-day comfort of the Elite 85t. Made with soft silicone and refined shapes, the Elite 10 aims to provide a comfortable fit for a wide range of users.
One of the main features of the Elite 10 is the integration of Dolby Atmos audio, making it the first Jabra model to offer this immersive sound experience. The earbuds also support Dolby's head tracking technology, enhancing the spatial audio effect. With 10mm drivers and advanced active noise cancellation (ANC) that adjusts to the surrounding environment, the Elite 10 delivers a superior sound experience with reduced background noise.
Jabra emphasizes the productivity aspect of the Elite 10, featuring six built-in microphones and voice clarity algorithms for crystal-clear calls. The earbuds also offer Bluetooth Multipoint connectivity, HearThrough mode with wind noise reduction, automatic pausing, hands-free voice assistants, fast pairing, wireless charging, and Bluetooth LE support.
With an IP57 rating, the Elite 10 is dust-resistant and can withstand full immersion, making them suitable for workouts. The earbuds provide up to six hours of battery life with ANC enabled, and the charging case provides an additional 21 hours of use.
The Elite 10 will be available in September for $250, offering a choice of cream, cocoa, titanium black, gloss black, and matte black color options.
For users seeking earbuds that can withstand rigorous activities, the Elite 8 Active is designed to meet their needs. Jabra has taken durability to the next level with the Elite 8 Active, which has passed the US military's Standard for Ruggedized Electronics (810H) tests. These earbuds are rugged enough to withstand humidity, high temperatures, rain, and altitude. With an IP68 dust and waterproof rating, the Elite 8 Active is completely watertight.
The Elite 8 Active features 6mm drivers and supports Dolby Audio for high-quality sound. It offers adaptive ANC that adjusts to the environment, although not as powerful as the Elite 10's advanced noise cancellation. However, this trade-off results in longer battery life.
The Elite 8 Active provides up to 8 hours of listening time with ANC enabled, and the charging case extends the total usage time to 32 hours. The earbuds also include HearThrough mode for ambient sound awareness, a six-microphone setup for calls with wind-blocking mesh, smartwatch connectivity, Google Assistant support, fast pairing, Spotify Tap, Bluetooth LE, and more.
The Elite 8 Active is available now for $200 in caramel, cocoa, navy, black, and dark grey color options.
