TWICE.com reports that mobile electronics supplier JL Audio began shipping a new series of amplifiers for the entry-level market.
The five model JX series replaces the J2 series, which existed at a similar price point level. The new models are more compact than the old J2 series. The JX series has a more powerful four-channel amplifier and a 1,000-watt subwoofer amplifier with a new design that is smaller and more efficient than its predecessor.

The JX series is made up of two full-range and three mono subwoofers. The two full range models ar the JX360/2 and JX360/4. The JX360/2 is rated at 2x180 watts into 2 ohms and 2x110 watts into 4 ohms. That JX360/4 measures in at 4x90 watts into 2 ohms and 4x70 watts into 4 ohms.
The three monoblock amplifiers are the JX250/1, JX500/1, and JX1000/1D. The JX250/1 carries a rating of 1x250 watts into 2 ohms and 1x175 into 4 ohms. The JX500/1 is rated at 1x500 watts into 2 ohms and 1x340 into 4 ohms. Lastly, the JX1000/1D's rating is 1x1000 watts at 2 ohms or 1x500 watts at 4 ohms.
The JX series is currently shipping and carries prices ranging from $199.95 to $499.95.
