The DLA-HD250 features three 0.7-inch 1920x1080 D-ILA devices combined with JVC's wide-grid optical engine to provide a reportedly 25,000:1 contrast ratio. The projector also features an HQV Reon-VX video processor by Silicon Optix for I/P conversion and scaling during image reproduction. Other features include a 2x motorized zoom lens with auto dust cover, as well as on-screen gamma control.

The DLA-HD250 will be available later this month.

In other D-ILA announcements, JVC announced six new 3D-enabled D-ILA projectors at CEDIA 2010.

The announcement featured three professional models - the Reference Series DLA-RS60, DLA-RS50, and DLA-RS40 - and three consumer models - the Procision Series DLA-X9, DLA-X7, and DLA-X3.

For 3D content, each projector includes two HDMI 1.4a ports and supports side-by-side, frame series, and above-below 3D transmissions. These new projectors operate with active shutter glasses, using an external 3D signal emitter - the PK-EM1 - to sync the image with JVC's 3D glasses.

The top four models - DLA-X7, DLA-X9, DLA-RS50, and DLA-RS60 - have been designed to achieve THX certification and are current in the process of being tested by THX. Also, these models are designed for ISF certification and will include an ISF C3 mode. Those same four models feature a new seven-axis color management system that allows for more precise color tuning.

The new JVC 3D projectors will be available in late November at these prices:

DLA-RS60/DLA-X9: $11,995
DLA-RS50/DLA-X7: $7, 995
DLA-RS40/DLA-X3: $4,495
